HELLO,

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET THE APPROVAL FOR I-130 PETITION FOR PARENTS? THEY RECEIVED MY APPLICATION SINCE NOV.9 AND I RECEIVED A NOTICE OF ACTION ON NOV.16, 2009.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW SO AT LEAST I HAVE AN IDEA ABOUT RECEIVING THE LETTER IN THE MAIL.

You have posted this question in the forum for Permanent Residents. I hope you are a US Citizen and it is just a case of posting in the wrong forum.

You must be a USC to file for a Parent.. The I-130 can take anything from a few weeks to a few months to be approved. If you mailed the I-130 on Nov 9 then it will likely be after christmas before you can expect a approval.

a 2 year green card holder qualifies as a permanent resident does it not? Just asking as my wife and I would like to get my mother in law here for a visit or possibly to stay. Not sure where to start on this quest.

7-24-2009 Paid $400.00 IV Fee Agent OLP

7-24-2009 Made phone call to NVC and got confirmation enrollement into electronic processing, received new case number

9-03-2009 Interview date arrives in E-Mail ... 9-28-2009 ... short notice ;P

9-28-2009 Pink!

11-27-2009 Wife arrives at her new home and promptly begins to make and plan changes. But its damn good!
