Taking advantage of an RFE?

It has been 2 mos since my I-94 expired and we are just starting to gather all our AOS documents this week. I feel nervous about staying here in the US without legal status and so i just want to sumbit the AOS package just to get it started.

The problem is that our co-sponsor is does not live in the same state and sending forms through snail mail takes awhile, would it be okay to send in my husband's affidavit of support and wait for an RFE and then send in our co-sponsor's affidavit of support later on?

It won't speed up the process as the file gets put on hold when the RFE is issued. You wouldn't want to send in the co-sponsor's affidavit and supporting documents without an RFE so that it gets married up to your file.

Have them send it priority or express mail. That is only 1 - 3 days in most cases.
