Since I got married I have not offically changed my name but I do use it. When I got married I did not drop my last name I just added my hubbys. The way its done in my culture when a person gets married. I have both my mom and dads last name. Mireya Flores Raygoza thats what is on my passport too. After marriage my moms maiden name would drop off and I would be Mireya Khan Flores or as they say in Mexico Mireya Flores of Khan. Any how I did not want to change the last name officially at the dps untill my husband and I had our catholic wedding, how ever I have been using it. I do recognize it and I have a few satements with my married name on it.When the lawyer sent our k3 applications she used my married name to file. Would having Khan on there bring us a problem latter on since I have not gone to the DPS to get it "officially" changed?
