Due to visa timeline requirements, we are thinking of signing papers at the courthouse; and we will have a wedding ceremony 5 months later when everyone in her family can make the trip. Would this cause any problems when we go for the greencard interview? Anybody else done something similar?

Thanks

Konichiwa.

Not a problem at all. Same as ours.

No problems. Lots of people have done it that way.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

We did the same and had no problems. Except that now my wife wants to celebrate 2 anniversaries!

Thank you. I thought that it would be okay, but I was just curious if the interviewer asked very many questions about the situation. I would like to have it all on the same day. I think that it would be more "special", but I have to keep the in-laws happy so she is happy :P
