Wow warlord, that was quite the trip home! How horrible that people's vacation's either ended this way, or just began this way. I'm glad though you got to get home for the holidays though!

Time for this thread to die a natural death now I'm thinking...

Man, cant believe the holidays are over!

Anyway this is a part out of the blue vent but is around the holiday theme so I thought to put it here anyway.

So on New Year's Eve, I made dinner for my in-laws, and yes including the WIL. I basically cooked the entire day and made lots and lots and lots of yummy food. So dinner started at 6:30 pm and my hubby's parents arrived on time and I thought the mini party was starting. Then I find out that my WIL insisted on visiting her friends BEFORE dinner and they (WIL and BIL) wont say what time theyre arriving...

And they dont arrive til close to 8 :P Of course by that time all the appetizers were eaten, and I had decided not to wait for them and start putting the food in the oven. Anyway by the time they arrive, there were only chips and booze available, and dinner wasnt ready as I didnt know when they were coming etc... and she was not happy she was waiting for dinner.

To top it off, hubby and I bought her a bottle of wine for Christmas as part of her Christmas gift. The witch brought it back and gave it to me. Even my husband remarked how stupid that was. Im sure she was doing this to be a ###### to me, but I hope she realized that the gift was from my husband too, who also got insulted.

At the end of the night, everyone including my FIL, who basically doesnt give many compliments, raved about my cooking. Except for her. She just sat down stonily and not even thank me for dinner.

However, bad karma comes to witches like her, because during the evening, we were thumbing through all our photos (both hubby's and mine). Hubby has photos of the BIL with another girl, WHICH I PURPOSELY DID NOT PASS AROUND. However, silly MIL, found one and said, "OH, Im not sure if I should show this around because its BIL kissing another girl!" And of course the WIL was pissed. And she grabs all the photos and finds ALL the pictures of the BIL with other girls... and interrogates the BIL on the spot. Man, was that awkward.

Anyway, after they left, parents-in-law, hubby and I watched the fireworks from our rooftop patio, drank more wine and celebrated the New Year together. It was fun, over all :)

Finally married... and still married... ;)

so today I decided to make a few more chocolates so my hubby could take some to work.. I had a few dipping wafers left and I didn't want them to go to waste and I also wanted to get them out of the house because we are trying to eat healthier  so I make them and put them in a tin and my darling hubby refuses to take them to work and says he will eat them :P

GRRRR
