16 More days until Christmas!!!

I hate that I have to keep all these pesky present secrets! It's so hard! Last night I gave my husband one of his presents and said: "Shake it! Guess what it is! Come on! Guess!"

Well I went and looked at the tree in it's box in the storage room. Then I went and looked at the tote in the other room that contains the xmas decorations for it - that's a start I guess.

Halls, such as they are, all decked today. Finished my shopping but have a few things left to wrap, so mostly done!

We have taken up watching a Christmas DVD in the evening. Last night we had the black and white version of Miracle on 34th St. Set to do A Wonderful Life next.

We have a small space here, less than 500 sq feet and we work in that too. As a result, the big screen tv, which he bought before we even had the walls up, is mounted on the wall opposite the bed. Very cosy to snuggle up and eat chocolates and watch my favorite movies with my husband

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I'm actually enjoying Christmas here in the US with my fiance's family.

They don't decorate for it, and I'm glad they don't.

My mom kind of goes overboard at Christmas and it's refreshing to see nothing.

Though, when we move into our own apartment I'll probably have a small tree and a few decorations here and there.

Tomorrow my MIL and I are going Christmas gift shopping! I LOVE Christmas shopping... it seems sooo festive and frenzied and Christmasy!

I have a good idea of what to get for our families... though Im not sure what to get the WIL. Maybe a pointy hat and a broom. And a sign that says GROW UP.

Finally married... and still married... ;)

We were supposed to cut our tree and decorate it today, but stooooopid rain poured all day long so we decided to call today's holiday event off :(

On the good side, we have bought our nephew's Christmas gift! And I made some peanut chocolate chunk cookies for the hubby's work for tomorrow because they wrote us a lovely card congratulating our wedding.

Here's to hoping we can get a tree next Sat :)

My dad has the perfect xmas tree ornament for you. I wanted to steal it and mail it to you. But I think that would make my dad real sad.

Tomorrow my MIL and I are going Christmas gift shopping! I LOVE Christmas shopping... it seems sooo festive and frenzied and Christmasy!

Reading this, I imagine a murloc with a santa hat on running around screaming "Merry RAURUAUGHGHURGH!"

I am that dorky.

Stupid rain yesterday should have been snow, right DC? :star:

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."
