Normally I would make a Swedish Smorgasbord the day after Thanksgiving and then we'd go to Golden Corral for Thanksgiving. This year the initial plan was for us to host a traditional Thanksgiving but after realizing how many people planned on showing up from out of state we had to say no.

Mom doesn't cook anymore (after so many years of cooking for all her kids I don't blame her). Now some people are saying Golden Corral isn't good enough so we suggested they'd cook themselves. Haven't heard back from them since.

We're having a friend from Canada join us, and possibly another friend from here in town. So it will be a fairly small affair.

We'll do a traditional turkey dinner. It's Vickie's first ever Thanksgiving, so all a bit new for her, but she's eager to get into the swing of things.

On Sunday we're hosting a football party to watch the Bears vs. Vikings. We're threatening our guests with turkey leftovers, but in fact we plan to serve lots of Thai food along with the usual beer and Doritos.

We are making 1/2 a turkey (its only gonna be my hubby, brother and myself) cornbread stuffing, cranberry sauce

Pancit (pilipino noodle dish)

chicken shanghai( mini eggrolls)

key lime pie for dessert also maybe brownies

beer and other assorted booze

We're having family over. My wife, mom and sister are taking care of the cooking and I'm deliberately staying as unaware of it possible. Let's see how long it works.
