First off, this is several weeks old. Second, I definitely don't think that Carrie Prejean is any sort of role model for America and far from it. She's not even a very good spokesman and doesn't strike me as being particularly bright or all there. In short, she's sort of Sarah Palin on steroids.

Having said that, she didn't put herself up as a role model and didn't even bring up gay marriage. When asked about her opinion of gay marriage, her response was: "I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody there. But that's how I was raised and that's how I think it should be." That isn't judgmental and I don't see how a sex video makes this hypocritical. She isn't a pastor, a youth counselor, an anti-pornography advocate, or even a defense of marriage advocate. She's a beauty contestant.

Perez Hilton chose to use this beauty pageant to bully and harass someone because she had views different than his on a subject that is only tangentially related to the beauty contest (it's almost certain that he knew her views before hand). That is the part of this that should be infuriating. The fact that liberals get so much glee over ruining and embarrassing a person because she had the gall to stand up and say something they didn't like is really mind-boggling, especially considering that every state in the union that has had an up or down vote on the issue agrees with her.

On another note the guys might want to google "Miss Trinidad and Tobago video". Hot as f#ck. She was in but didn't win Miss Universe.

I didn't say anything about honesty and I don't deny she embarrassed herself. However, she embarrassed herself when she made the sex tape, not when she answered a question about gay marriage. The combination of these two events doesn't make her a hypocrite (or a hypocrit).

As far as blaming it on someone else, she can't really blame the existence of the sex tape on anyone else. But I stand by my assertion that it was Perez Hilton that was out of place when he tried to turn a beauty pageant into a political debate and embarrass someone for perfectly reasonable and mainstream views.
