It seems like one problem after another, my Fiancees Cenomar shows her moms name as ERIADA and her Birth Certificaite shows it as AIDA. Her moms real name is Eraida, is this going to be a problem at the interview ? where can she go to correct his ?

Is this going to cost a bunch ?

Possible.

Runs around 300 bucks, and can take a few months to fix

She may go to interview with it and roll the bones.

We had mix up on BirthCertificate also, Had a lawyer (Free my wife Family owns Law Practice) working on fixing problem, but we rolled the bones at the interview and it we got approved.

No strtegy, It was back last year when they had Document Verification, and the USEM had to receive BC and Cenomar and some other paperwork directly from NSO to verify what paper work you brought in was correct. My wife had 2 sets of BC with different information on each one, but as I said we rolled the bones and got approved

Making Mistakes on Birth Certificates is very common in PI.

"roll the bones" is an expression that means "take your chances".

europeans in roman times would roll knuckle bones of pigs to see how they landed, and bet on the outcome. it was a kind of gambling for entertainment.

it's going to be an issue but not as big since it's your fiancee's mother's name and not hers that is incorrect. it doesn't need majoy fixing. just accompany your docs w/those that show mother's name in the correct form (her work ID, SS ID, NBI etc) and maybe an affidavit saying that AIDA and ERIADA are one and the same person and that AIDA was a human error...something to that effect.

however your fiancee fixes this, make sure she brings docs explaining the problem when she goes to her interview

Hi,

I would suggest that you ask your fiancee to call the city/local civil registrar of her birthplace so she will be told what to do. An affidavit that says Eraida and Aida is the same person will do but i think its better to get the mistake corrected while there is still time. I had a problem with my birth certificate too before,I called our city civil registrar, i was told what to do and it was fixed before my interview.

And she should have asked NSO about her CENOMAR, right after she received it, its maybe just typo error.

Mine was like three to four weeks. My case was different though, she can ask from the city civil registrar how long the processing will take.

Just ask the civil registrar, she might just need an affidavit.
