Red Friday seems more appropriate where people will run up their credit card bills buying all that ####### they are putting on sale. Wife and I have just four items on our list with savings up to 100%, like free, no rain checks, once gone, that's it. Working out nice, first store opens at 4:00 AM, with the other three at 5, 6, and 7 AM. Know exactly where the items are located, so hopefully can run in and out and hopefully before they run out.

I assume it comes from the old days when you used a 10 key with a ribbon, and when you hit a negative interger it came up as red, as opposed to black for a positve interger

Good point like credit and debit it cards that is reference to the banks. A debit card is a debit to the bank, not to you, and they are giving you credit where you are getting the debt.

Yep. And it wasn't by deliberate design that many merchants survive the rest of the year from their sales during the Christmas Holidays. What sucks is that the larger retailers can afford to promote bigger bargains and thereby hurt the smaller merchants who are the ones that need sales revenue the most.

Do these TV's also include decent programming, or do you have to watch the same old ####### on them? Make sure you purchase a maintenance agreement, these things are unrepairable.

We cut our list from 4 to 2 after receiving the flyers and reading all the hype, will wait until the end of the year clearance sales, WI hits the retail stores with a tax on inventory, that is really when you see the sales.

Buying a 32" HDTV is the same as buying a 26" standard format TV that isn't standard anymore as both use the same diagonal measurement. Because the vertical height of HDTV is 20% smaller than the old 4:3 width to height ratio. If you really want a 32" TV, better buy a 40" screen.

Read that a lot of these Black Friday promotions like Wal-Mart and BestBuy had special stuff made for the reduced price, but not sure if it's the same stuff. Would assume it was made using the make it cheap specification for these sales. But that is typical. But they sure do pitch the maintenance agreements.
