Swear. I just got one. Well - I got it Thursday. But I'm bad about checking my e-mail.

It's for a position as Secretary to the Assistant Warden at a new federal prison being built in McDowell County, WV. Now - that happens to be about 90 miles south of where I live and in the middle of coal country. I've googled about the prison and 'word on the street' is that they would have a hard time staffing it because of the level of education possessed by much of the local population.

All the links in the e-mail are to official government sites. The source of the e-mail appears to be authentic also.

I've been registered on UsaJOBS for ages and the e-mail says I was notified due to my credentials.

Kind of ridiculous really. Local Bureau of Public Debt won't touch me with a ten-foot pole but they want my resume' for a new facility in Bumfvck, WV.

I suppose I'll send it. See what happens.

That'd be my luck. I can't get the cushy position in the Legal Department in the shiny new Public Debt building in a civilized part of my state. But they like me for hanging out with the Assistant Babysitter for white-collar scum like Bernard Madoff built (probably) on the top of some mountain.
