These kids learn physics in middle school. I started physics in high school. Well, I was introduced to physics in the 6th grade. But, it stopped in the 7th and 8th because we learn more about biology than other sciences.

I didn't start physics til my senior year of high school. Know what I remember the most about physics? My teacher had a big old butt like a shelf. And she had a T-shirt that said "Physics is Phun. "

:innocent:

We started geography, biology and history in grade 5 and took it every year through high school. Physics was added to the mix in grade 6 followed by chemistry grade 7. None of these classes was ever dropped once added. Our curriculum just got broader year after year. We also had school regularly on Saturdays from 7:00am - noon. I wish they still did it that way. Lazy kids these days...

I remembered in the 6th grade reading popular science about tabletop fusion. Then, afterwards I learned Bernoulli's Princple and Archimedes Principle. Then, we did an experiment using the coke can to determine how atmospheric pressure can collapse it by boiling water inside it.

I became the head of the class in science. I was so obnoxious. One time some had a 97 and I got a 93 out of 100 on an exam. My peer teased me, "Ha she got a higher than you." I responded, "Nobody is smarter than me. Look at my other grades 100/100 across the board." Those were the good old days. I wanted to goto MIT in 7th grade after hearing this story of a teen who is 14 years old at the Westinghouse event winning the scholarship to any school she wanted, and got into MIT at 15 years of age for her paper on Neutrinos. I took the SATs in the 7th grade as part of the John Hopkins Talent Search Program. Did better than most high students. I made sure that I got perfect grades. Turned out when the college days came I got rejected when I applied to MIT. But, realized it doesn't matter.
