Hello All,

My 2yr greencard expired June 2009 but I received a 1 year extension letter and later got my biometrics redone July 2009. Was I supposed to expect a new greencard with a new date on it? And will I be able to still travel to Canada with my expired greencard? Please advise. Thanks!

The NOA serves as the extension of your GC expiry date pending receipt of the new card. I just handed them the GC with the letter and all was fine. I'm assuming your ROC is at VSC. They're taking approximately 4.5 months to process applications.

Yes you are removing conditions on your 2 year for a new 10 year green card.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Van80,

if you are a joint filer, you are OK to travel with your expired GC + NOA1, if you are a waiver filer, do not stay outside of the US for long. What will you do if you get denied at the time when you are not in the US?
