Well, I dont want to offend anyone but I really felt bad to those whom I was able to be-friend through this website because while at their journey with their paperwork, they have time to send you email through PM, or chat with you through yahoo messenger. But now that they are already in the US; its as if they already turned their backs from the people who in one or the other has been of great help to them. Well, of course they are now reunited with their loved ones, that's given, but I think you will not sign in on yahoo messenger if you are too busy to chat. I hate to think that just because they are already finished with their journey and now in US, they dont know you anymore. I am just disappointed with this kind of attitude... I just hope that these people will learn to continue to humble themselves and learn to know where they came from. Being in the US is just the start of your journey and there might be instances that someday you will need or look for a Filipino friend to talk too. God bless

Time is very precious in USA.

It's not laid back like in PI. Maybe they are trying to adjust to their new lives in USA.

Hi lady AA! well, thanks for your understanding. Well, through my husband and relatives in the US, i know that life there in US is far different from our laid back life style here in PI but like I've said, I dont think you will have time to sign in to yahoo messenger if you are busy adjusting with your new life there. To those who cannot understand, its okay but I am just trying to voice out my disappointment.

Anyway, my son's interview/appearance at the USEM is on Dec03; a day before yours. Well, my son is just 4 yrs old so I hope he will be okay.... Goodluck!

Give them time...

Once the honeymoon is over, when the hubby goes back to work and they are by themselves in the house , they will come back online and start chatting again.

When they find work and get busy they will be online less and less.

Thats life here :)

Goodluck to you

Ladies,

I know who you're thinking of and I must say that we all know a lot of things about her "story" don't add-up.

Honestly I don't think she is where everyone thinks she is and while her Visa Journey has come to an end I suspect it isn't the end she told the forum...

Just forget about her and move on.

As for myself & Anna, once she is here I will proudly post Pics of our combined family - all 5 of us in front of your happy home.

As they say on the Internet: "If you didn't post pics then it didn't happen"...

Just give them time. Normally, boredom starts on the 3rd or 4th month (to some not to all) then will grow worst unless the person is able to cope up with it.

And if the person takes you for granted, let that person go. You deserve a someone worthy to be your friend. :) Cheer Up. Its not your loss.

Very true. I have encountered filipinas like that. Gave advise to most I don't even know but after they are done with their journey and is now in US.. they act like they never know you..not even a simple "thank you".What a shame?

They are probably busy hanging out in Facebook. Everybody's hanging out in Facebook.

Hokey Smoke!

Rocky: "Baby, are they still mad at us on VJ?"

Bullwinkle: "No, they are just confused."

Forgive me if I'm wrong but this is just my opinion.

Don't misinterpret me but when you say you befriended them here, was the feeling mutual?

But now that they are already in the US; its as if they already turned their backs from the people who in one or the other has been of great help to them. When you were helping them before, were you expecting something in return? like friendship?. It seems to me that you are obliging them to be your friend forever.

I am just disappointed with this kind of attitude... I just hope that these people will learn to continue to humble themselves and learn to know where they came from. Being in the US is just the start of your journey and there might be instances that someday you will need or look for a Filipino friend to talk too. God bless

Gosh..you don't even know these people personally or am i wrong? If you don't know them personally I think you are over reacting. Don't you have friends other than the people in vj?

So many people here in vj who have helped me in my journey and I am still talking to them here or to another websites but Im doing this not because I feel like I am oblige.

i think you should understand people because not all people can give time for you when you need them...there are many reasons why...yes youve helped them or became friends but hey dont expect something back...

and you dont know whats really going on to their life here...so just be cool.

Your disappointment was one of the many things I've learned when I lived and worked abroad where there were many Filipinos. But I understand that it's a busy world, people come and go but that doesn't mean they have forgotten you or doesn't want to talk to you anymore. I'm sure there are reasons why, whoever that person you're talking about, is not responding. I, for one, is always online but don't respond to IM's especially if it's from very close friends because I know they understand that I am busy with Cafe World, hehehe..I mean my job. Just because you offer/give help to people here on VJ doesn't mean you'll be friends forever. Many members here have been of great help with my visa journey but I don't think I'll be in touch with them all my life. When I joined this site, I didn't intend to make friends anyway, I already have friends in "real" not the forum world. All I wanted was to have informations on my case though I will always be grateful and already sent PM's to those who have helped. Btw, I agree with Mike's Lucy's response. Cheers and God bless.
