hey i'm wondering if he will have to buy a one way ticket. or if they will let him buy a roundtrip ticket because it costs a lot less.

Buy whatever is affordable.

do they really not care if you buy a round trip ticket? i thought they would make us buy a one way.

They don't care. This is the reverse of the normal question. Usually people are asking if it's ok to buy a one-way ticket but that's coming from countries where one-way is less expensive.

Buy any ticket you want but make sure you buy it after the visa is in hand.

If you're coming under a K-1 visa, round trip or one way tickets don't matter. They don't care..really they don't. Don't worry about it.

do NOT call the US embassy in france!!!!!

i just wasted 15€....to hear "we dont have the information for the immigrant visa, please come in person at the embassy...

but i saw that some people asked the same thing lately and they are just filling out I-134 for the primary sponsor (fiancee) and co sponsor.

anyway, we are going to fill the I-134, i really hope you guys are sure.

'cause we dont need it to be delayed or denied.

see you later, and thank you all for your help.

We'll never wish a delay or denial on anyone. You did the right thing by reading previous posts to see what has been submitted by others. It didn't sound like we can convince you just by staying on this thread alone.

my fiancee called USCIS and they said, I-134 for her and I-864 for her dad.....

This is completely wrong. We don't call it the USCIS misinformation line for nothing. Bear in mind, it is the Consulate that will determine what is needed in terms of an affidavit of support. Unless Consular officers in Paris are routinely breaking the law, the answer is an I-134 from each sponsor. This is not our first rodeo here. We answer this same question multiple times each week. It's really not a subject of debate but rather settled policy the senior members here have all understood for a long time.

hi,

we just dont know, i called the us embassy and told me "we dont have the answer, you have to come directly to the us embassy...." i dont live in paris, so im not gunna go to paris for 1 question. and the guy from the us embassy said that i should call uscis to get an answer and be sure.

my fiancee wasted 30 on the phone with them to know, they said they looked and told her that it was I-134 for her and I-864 for her dad.

i really dont know what to think anymore, its freaking me out and we are wasting our time because we dont know what to do....my DS-230 and DS-2001 could already be in the visa services in paris...

its just not easy at all and the informations from american immigration services are contredicting each other.

and we are done to tell to her dad to always change and fill out a different form.

we just want to be 1000% sure not to make any mistakes.

I know you want to be sure. I'm sure. Trust me. This is a simple everyday question we deal with here regularly and have for years. The I-864 is not used for K visa cases. The I-134 is. Cosponsors provide a second I-134 with supporting documentation. I can't count how many times this same answer has been given and it works every time it's followed. Just do it and get on with life.

thank you....we are finally gunna fill out I-134 for both of them....

i hope it will work perfectly.

is it serious if i send my DS-230 and DS-2001 before to get their affidavit of support?

since i have to get my doctor appointment a month before the interview...

Follow the specific instructions given by the Consulate in the packets.
