Hi there,

Could anyone help me find information about how to get I 551 stamp on my passport?

ZIPCODE i live is 07306 which has the closest AC center Elizabeth, NJ

why do you need the stamp?

as far as i know, the noa1 extends the green card for one more year! it should have a little note on it for that!

how to get ?

Many ppl get it by going to an infopass appointment.

You can set up infopass appt for next week, get the stamp.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

If I am not mistaken you need to make an infopass in Newark.

FYI to other posting here, in NJ in order to renew say your DL the extension letter is not enough, even with a stamp it is sometimes a pain in the behind.

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

thats a good question.. the reason i am planning to travel carribean islands in January 2010 (last week ) , my green card is going to be expired by the end of this month... i think i may have problems while entering US with the extension letter as some dumbass INS officers don't understand the letter all they care is for the unespired card or a unexpire I 551 stamp in the passport....just taking an extra precaution....

thanks for the headsup......my dl is will expire on last week of february 2010.. hopefully VSC will send my 10 yr PR card....

You need information or other services.

I wouldn't call the person you talk with a dumbazz until after you get the stamp.
