US Fiance visiting Canada

Hi

sorry it`s maybe a dumb question but I want to know about you guys if you have ever had problems with Canadian Immigration officer?

My fiance is coming with me to the interview on the 25th. I'm at his home now in Texas (have been in vacation 2 weeks here) and we will be travelling together to go to Canada...I was wondering about him passing Canadian immigration if he could get problems???

I guess he should do same as me when I cross the US boarder and tell the truth...why is coming, who is visiting...

I don`t know if we should pass the immigration together or if we will get more problems...I want him to be with me at the interview...!!!

Canadian immigration Officer can be very rude even if you are Canadian...I have been travelling a lot and sometimes I didn`t feel welcome to come back home!

Thanks a lot for your help

Don't fret too much, Jo&Si. My husband (then fiance) and I crossed together to attend the interview and it wasn't a problem. We had the interview letter and all our docs. They're not really going to think he's a risk if he's coming to attend an interview for you to move to the US. lol

I don't think it'll be a problem. Make sure your fiance has proof of ties to the US and just be honest. If they ask him for the purpose of his visit, say pleasure or that he will be attending his fiance's k-1 visa interview. Good luck! :)

Go up to the officer at the window thing together because you are traveling together not seperatly.

My husband ( at the time boyfriend ) was stopped once entering canada as it was his first time to ever visit canada and they stopped him and questioned him then let him through, was really nothing.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I am a Citizen of the United States of America. 04/16/13

it was a dumb question lol...

My fiance would say I`m too stress now and I`m scared for everything lol but he is working now !!!

Of course he should not have problem since we have all document and proof that he has ties to USA...

I think I'm overwhelmed now with all thinking about the interview next week!

thanks again and good night

My husband just visited me, he came to Canada on 11/11/09 and they only asked him how long is he staying and where is he staying, and he come's quiet often, and never had a problem he thinks it easier cross in Canada then USA and he is a born citizen. so you should not have any problem just be truthful.

It's not a dumb question, I dont think.

If you want to be super sure, maybe you can bring your P4 letter to show to the border patrol.

My fiance came to Montreal for my interview and he didn't have a problem. He's visited at least 7 times in the past 2 years and stayed for as short as a weekend to a few months!

Goodluck! :)

Finally married... and still married... ;)
