Moving this again to get it out of a Forum where the thread could explode.

the best way to deal with ticking bombs is controlled demolition in a confined environment with appropriate relief.

modern plastics and stabils like anfo (watergel) are perfectly safe to handle, and useful tools in the appropriate circumstance, but picric acid and similar primitive primary detonatives are just too dangerous for the average idiot to handle. i would prefer straight nitro glycerine to these, as you can judge it's stability by temperature and odor.

Go back to the homeland. File for CR1. Wait for it to be denied and then file a waiver. Get a lawyer, as well.

Man, illegal immigrants make my blood boil. I don't care WHAT your personal situation is, breaking and violating laws of the country you one day wish to immigrate to/become of a citizen of is appalling. No sympathy from me, either.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

The kindest of us around here would suggest an immigration attorney. The others would suggest the illegal go back where they belong and suffer USCIS like the rest of us (or in this case, suffer a likely ban from re-entry).

Either way... you won't find help for illegals on this forum.

Seems like he must have been doing ok finding work if he's been here 10 years..

He's probably just waiting for some nice helpful people in Government to rescue these poor, exploited, confused "Migrants" with an amnesty [/sarcasm]

no sympathy on this forum for that kind of thing.

Seconded.

99% of us are on this forum because we're doing it the legal way. If it has taken your friend's husband ten years to realize "oh #######, maybe I should become a legal resident", he's never going to be able to make it through the mounds of paperwork, questioning and general atonement that would be required.

Third and final reading. 10 years is almost enough times for most family immigration categories to become current let alone a spouse. He got married 8 years after he was living in the US. What was he doing for 8 years? I'm sorry, there might be some sympathy for the devil but not for your friend's husband.

tell him to go home and try to do it the legal and right way. i'm sick of reading about people like this. NO SYMPATHY!!!

We need to know more about his situation before condemning him. I am shocked at the judgmentalism from all corners. Folks close to me are struggling to find a way to stay here after overstaying their visitors' visas, and they are nice Christian people indeed. They will make good citizens, better than all the milliions of USC addicts and welfare cheats, for sure. America at one time gave good people a chance.

No one has any sympathy for us who are trying to do things legally while being separated for months from our husbands/wives. USCIS isn't saying to me, "Oh honey, you're doing things legally. Good for you! Here's five thousand useless points and quick approval for you." I don't see why I'm required to have any for those who circumvent immigration laws, good Christians or not. Or devout Hindus. Or pious Muslims. Those stringent laws are in place for a reason. Because people have been taking advantage of those laws and breaking them left, right and center for ages.

And you're right, I'm sure those people you mention will make first-class citizens. Law-abiding ones, even. The ones overstaying their visas. Yeah, right.

There should really be a sarcasm font.

And I forgot to add, just as a FYI -- "judgmentalism" isn't a word.

The fact that you just cited "nice Christians" as welcome immigrants implies "judgmentalism" [sic] against the myriad atheists, agnostics, Jews, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Shintoists, Sikhs and those of other faiths that are endeavoring to enter the United States.

Religion has nothing to do with the process. Honesty and adherence to legality DOES.

Compassion comes in various shades of gray, whereas laws are black & white. In the end, laws usually win, si man.

Sidebar: Just this week, I saw an editorial commentary in which the author referred to Obama's apparent intent "to amnesty the illegals." Great new verb, much like "We must influx new capital into the system" that I heard from a financial expert on the radio, si man. And, the illegals will then be amnesthetized, si man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

what an idiot. i guess in gambia it doesn't matter what the law says, just whether you get what you want or not.

send your illegal "christian" friends home, and tell them to read the ten commandments again, while they're at it.

hello everyone, i just want to post here and need your openion about my friend. she is married to illegal (EWI) husband and its been 10 years now that his husband been staying in here and they are been two years marriage now. my concern is, is there a way to make her husband be a US legal citizen and if so how can they gonna do the process then. thank you and hope to here some information.

If he's been paying his taxes and is an addition to the US tell the wife to file a I-130 for him. He'll have to go home and when the petition gets denied file a waiver and proceed.

Are they Filipinos?

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!
