Thanks confucian for your attention and your time

waiting....

I might be able to get it sent via email but it would take a few days. Not available through my school immediately. It is available ASAP if you pay $46.....Do you want me to try to order it electronically? I can send it to you when I get it but may take a couple days!

I am not in a rush, so I guess I can wait no matter how long if I will get it for free.

Definitely I won't pay $46

Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

The request made says "waiting for copyright clearance". I'm assuming they will send it to my email after the request is processed.

If something comes through I will let you know ;)

What is your interest in the article?

Actually, it's "a gift" for my husband. He has been doing some research about this topic for his thesis...

Helping DH with his thesis or are you secretly planning on sticking rodents into a fridge? In situations like these I usually contact the researchers and they never refuse to help you out by sending you a copy of the manuscript. Have you tried this? BTW, kudos to you for helping DH with his studies, what's he studying?

It's a good suggestion to contact the researchers.

Have a good weekend!

Too bad I went home from lab. If you PM me tomorrow early with your email I might be able to send you the PDF if I have institutional access to Int J Hypothermia. I don't have my VPN set up at home.

I'm curious about that paper now. The whole aspect seems interesting. The striatum is pretty hard-core in movement associated processes. It seems a bit obvious that excess neuronal activity along this central structure would probably involve some heat shock protein remodeling all over the cell... not just Hsp72 in the mitochondria. Also the role of Hsp60 might be worth a look.

I could see this working its way into a host of treatments for Parkinsons, Dystonias, Dyskinesias, and other movement disorders, as the striatum is once again... really a pathway that's used in the brain's movement centers.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

I looked up the journal at the University. They don't have that linked. Weird. I would've been able to get it because I subscribed $1000/year to get journal access through the University library. Strange, I should get every journal. I'm going to request they add it on there.

Not every university subscribes to online access. That really ticks me off when I find papers and then discover I have to go fish for it in stacks or from inter library loan. Takes time off of my busy VJ schedule.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
