Message received today (November 20, 2009) from NVC,

3 days after we got the packet4 letter:

Good Afternoon,

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC). The

NVC has completed its processing of the visa petition you mentioned in

your letter and has forwarded the petition to the assigned US

Embassy/Consulate General for further processing.

Any further inquiries should be directed to the assigned US Embassy or

Consulate General.

The assigned case number is BNK-YadaYayaYada

My Fiance is here and I still have never received notification from NVC ;)

It was kind of amazing that I got even THAT kind of reply as all I gave them

was my USCIS case #, our names and DOB.

I got ANOTHER robo-reply today from the NVC, which is 23 November (roughly a month later after my initial e-mail).

Dear Sir/Madam,

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

Please direct your inquiry(ies) to the assigned US Embassy or Consulate

General.

Those guys down there work hard, don't they?

Now I can sleep at night...
