I just found this on the USCIS website, I think it would be a good way to get answers about this process from the Director himself. I am just suggesting this no one has to do it, but i really think this is a good ide, here is the link to the site it also states that you may leave a question in advance for Gonzalez. ask the White House.

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.
