Monday exam, Tuesday interview?

Irina's interview at the Moscow Embassy is on a Tuesday. So, if she is to leave an extra business day in between the medical exam and the interview, that means she will have stay in Moscow over the weekend (not the worst, because I will be there with her -- but we would rather spend more of my visit in her hometown). I am wondering how likely it would be that something could go wrong at the medical exam, that could be fixed in one day? Is that chance great enough to merit spending all the extra time in Moscow, or should we just schedule the exam for the day prior to the interview?

As you know, we scheduled an extra day between our exam and the interview to allow for any possible problems. We did this because we could. In our case, the day wasn't really necessary.... but did happen to be useful because Lesya wasn't feeling well the day of the exam and was able to spend the next day staying in the hotel room resting and recovering.

If we had been scheduled for a Tuesday interview, I wouldn't have had a problem with scheduling the exam for Monday.

1) The early morning flight into Moscow from Chel arrives early enough to allow PLENTY of time to get to the clinic, even if the flight is significantly delayed. I'm sure Irina will talk to Lesya in more detail about exactly how much time she had while in Moscow.

2) It's extremely rare to hear about any problem with the clinic that results in a delay in receiving your results.

3) The absolute worst that could happen -- she goes to the clinic -- but doesn't get results in time. She could still go to the interview the next day and explain what happened. They'll still conduct the interview and then have her get the medical results and put them in the 221g box outside the Embassy.

She just had her interview Friday, arrived in Moscow from Siberia at 7:30am and went straight to the clinic from the airport. Did it all on Thursday, made the interview on Friday and flew back overnight. So only one night in Moscow. So yes, it can be done.

Tatiana had a extra day inbetween, but I agree that it is not really necessary. She went to the clinic in the AM on monday and picked up the results at 4PM the same day. Then spent the day between relaxing in the apartment. From what she told me the people at the clinic are very good at what they do and it is very very smooth. So I think no days between is fine.
