Current lengths of visa validity, still 6 months?

Quick question for a quick answer =D!! Unless things have changed, I've been aware that the usual validity of issued visas are 6 months, meaning you have to leave for the US within 6 months or else it'll become invalid. But I've been hearing from other people that they've considerably shortened it to 2 months. Just need to hear from others here who have recently gotten their visas or have knowledge of others who have. Thanks!!

I haven't heard on anyone on here having a shorter validity period, though in some cases the validity was counted from the medical rather than the interview.
