hey guys how r u all? sorry a lill bit late to post the experience... I got my passport and package to submit at POE just today. I wonder it says i got visa untill may 2010. so its just like 7 months why is it so? anyone has any idea about it?

OKay now my story begins.........

At 6:15am reached at embassy in mumbai on 6th of nov. enterd in the embassy around like 7:15am. advice for everyone do not take any electronic items, no mobile, men doesn't allow to keep their watch either, Ladies keep ur purse with ur companion. Yeah lol atleast keep some money with u if ur relative is at VFS lounge. I forgot to take money from hubby and i had to wait for the VFS bus for a long time.

At 8:30 done with fingure prints. then waiting begins... try to be really patient if they do not call ur name lol.. about 9:45 they called my name and it was an indian officer looked like he did not have nice break fast from his wife :bonk: LOL.. Man he didn't even know how to pronounse my name.. I said good morning and no reply from him ;) now questions begins..

1. do u speak english- yeah i do..

2. with strange expressions u r muslim rite?- Yeah i m

3. is ur husband is muslim? - yeah he is..

4. why his name is christian? is he converted muslim or what?- yeah he is..

5. whats ur qualification? - i have finished my bachelors in fashion design.

6. how he became muslim? with really strange expression...( what an idiot!!!)- i explained whole stroy... blah blah..

7. do u have any proof of him accepting islam? - i was all blank couldn't think of any answer and i said no but i have one photograph which shows he is praying( salah)

8. do u have photo album or anything? - yeah i do have, would u like to see...

officer- no i dont want to but if u can't show me the proof of him accepting islam then it means ur marriage is invalid.. my replied to him- how can our marriage be invalid? we got married in front of somany people according to islamic way.. officer- lets see what happens, American officer will call back go ahead and sit.

what a jerk!!! my heart started beating so fast and i knew they gonna make me go back.. i was keep thinking what will i answer the american officer about him accepting islam and proof?? so much tension.. i couldn't even think of anything but just a fear in my heart for rejection..

on about 12:30 American officer called me. there was one indian lady with him standing beside him. he looked kinda nice to me. i wished good afternoon but no answer from him too.. :( that time i knew i m finish now ;)

2nd Interview begins..

1. whats ur marriage date?- 18jan 2009

2. is he muslim?- yeah he is..

3. how did he accepted islam?-looked in to his eyes and explained whole story again.. (he was listenining to me really carefully)

4. where did u learn ur english at?- home, school, college..

5. whats ur education?- same answer again...

6. he is muslim rite? - yeah he is.. officer- his parents don't have any problem with him being muslim? - no not at all, they are nice and understanding people and love him alot.

7. how did u meet? - introduced by cousin..

8. is he ever been out side of USA other then india?- yeah he been to maxico with his parents for only one day while he was kid..

9. whats ur parents do?- mom is house wife, dad is businessman..

10. any sibilling? -yeah 2 brothers

11. what do they do? - older one is Software eng. younger is studying software eng..

12. whats ur qualification??- (same quesion again so i just looked at him and i said i have answered u)

he seemed like confused to me.. acting strange and made me feel like our case is really dificult.. but it wasnt that..

he said give me some time.. hold on.. was wiating and he went behind the window where i can here all the conversation of them. he started talking to some indian and american officer about my case.. he asked what he should do now he is really confuse.. then he said a conversion story to some officer and then came back to me.. some indian officer came with him and started looking at our file and our photos.. he was acting like there is something wrong of being muslim from mormon lol.. what an idiot!!!

13. american officer- do u have any photos of wedding?- yeah i do have, do u wanna see?? officer- yeah please..

showed him album of 200 photos but he seemed like he wasnt in mood of looking at the photos either.. he didn't even look 3 pages of album and stopped me..

14. what kind of muslim r u??- i was thinking what the heck is he asking me?? i said what do u mean?? he said i mean islam has some cast and stuff so what r u following?? sunni , shia?? i said sunni..

15. what kind of muslim ur husband is?? - he is following the same as i do...( i wonder he did not even ask me about my relationship with him but just about his religion.. ) i m sorry guys it was alot more question then these but i forgot...

then he said mam i am sorry i have to put u on hold.. we need ur husband's conversion certificate or any proof of him being muslim.. i was really sad almost about to cry..i told him my husband is with me today at VFS lounge, if u like to talk to him i can call him, he said no we need proof and next time if he can come with u then take him to the embassy. then i asked him so what should i tell my husband? mam get us proof any date on 7:30am.. we are not denying you neither giving you approval.. i asked him stupid question lol.. i asked him if i will get the proof then u gonna give me approval?? he said we would like to interview you and ur husband then we will see.. i said (with sad face) oh okay i understand.. then i left the embassy with tears....

luckly(alhumdollilah) my cousin who lives in US was coming to india to visit her parents.. we called them and imam of masjid to make certificate.. we called my parents inlaw to give us written note talking about how he became muslim and how they do not have any problem.. we got everything on 15th so we went to mumbai on rite away.

on monday 16th nov morning 7:30am entered in the embassy.. there was line for pending petitions.. there weren't much people in the pending line.. my turn came and i entered in to the room, wished good morning to an indian officer( same one from last time)..officer- he said yeah mam do u have anything to give me.. me- yeah i submitted all the documents.. officer- where is ur husband? - he is out side at the securty section.. i told them you want him to come in but they stopped him... officer- oh okay have sit.. we will call u back.. waiting begins it was 12:30 pm and they called my name.. i had to wait like 5 hours and i was thiinking today may be they will make me go back again.. i actually cried sitting over there hiding my self from everyone in the washroom..

The american officer( same one from last) called me in..

he wished me good morning

:) i smiled and correct him good afternoon sir.. lol what a deem light..!! started to looking at his watch.. he actually ssmiled at me and said ohh its afternoon... people he actually knew how to smile lol... then he said okay mam i have few questions to ask u.. i said okay i would gladly like to answer you with really big smile.. okay this time he was keep smiling and being super nice with me..

1. how did u meet again please explain? i explained

2. so howmany people came in the wedding from USA- none, officer- why?? they wanted us to get marry in USA but we got rejected for K1 and we wanted to get marry quick after such a long wait for K1.. officer- oh okay okay..

3. howmany sibilling ur husband have?- 2

4. what do they do?- i explained

5. with smile are they converted too??- i was giving him mean face and i said what do u mean? he said no i mean he is the only one convert to islam of his brothers too?? i said no he the only one and they are mormon..

6. so no one else in the family converted to some other religion?- i said its their choice if they want to they can.. but rite now none of them are converted only my husband..

7.so how he accepted islam?? - like i said before, officer- yeah i know but didn't he talk to u why?? i just looked at him and said what do u mean?? he said mam i m an immigration officer so i have to ask you that.. what an idiot !!! i know he is lol... i said i would like to asnwer all ur questions sir.. he smiled and joked with me..

8. so did u look for any indian to get marry??- yeah i did..

9. then how ur husband won the race with really big smile...?? i loved him and i got attarcted to him more then others..

then he told me to hold on.. he went back to someone and had probably long conversation... i was waiting like 10 min alone in the room.. he came back and said sorry to me and being really nice..

10. so it was more like arrange marriage because ur cousin introduce u to him..- yeah it was, you can say that..

11. do u have her phone number?- i knew her phone number by heart so gave him..

You have untill may 2010 to use the visa is what it means, if you dont use the visa before that time it will expire. But im sure you are going to use it right away to leave for america. Grats and have a good trip.
