I'm having an odd issue with Chrome on the VJ site. If I click on a user name and try to view posts, topics, etc, I get an error message saying I must wait 30 seconds between searches and that the admin has enabled flood control. There is no way for me to view this info with Chrome, it works fine with IE and it works fine on other sites, even EP? Any ideas?

Hmm...I get the same error with the flood control on firefox. Sometimes when too many collisions occur or too many users trying to simultaneously post something, it gives you that error.

I never experienced such problem with Chrome.

It always happens to me with Chrome, never with IE7. I have tried dozens of times the last two days and no dice. Strange. And it only has happened on this site so far.

Chrome is a novel idea but honestly if breaking my computer down to a web browser. Then see no need for anything other than a cellphone, and maybe that is the point. A world without windows or large devices.

Honestly to me the only selling point to the google os is that it is not Microsoft Windows. You can already do that with Linux. Ubuntu is a user friendly os with no bugs.

Ubuntu has bugs. Ubuntu is a hybrid OS in that there's a Linux Kernal, Debian backbone. I run alot of OSes with VMware. Reason, my work requires it.

You can make Firefox faster after you done the about:config here: Link

Install the FoxyProxy Add-On afterwards. Set the FoxyProxy Add-On to Patterns. This will make it load web pages fast as Google Chrome. I think FoxyProxy memorize the fastest route to the nearest proxy web server which is probably the same method that Google Chrome uses.

Does chrome have the script blocking capabilities that I have with firefox? Particularly when using the noscript add-on.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Guess not. I checked everywhere. I think what Google is trying to do is moving internet users slowly towards cloud computing. That is why they made their Chrome OS look like a browser. With cloud computing, you don't need a 2000 dollar computer to play Far Cry 2, Resident Evil 5, Left 4 Dead at High Res 16xAF, 8xAA, 2056x1920 resolution at 60 fps. Cloud computing reduces the load on your CPU by processing those games somewhere in the cloud (a warehouse of powerful computers).

By definition no Linux core is pure. Including the new chrome OS. It is different variations built around a common kernel. When i say bugs I mean viruses. Find me a Linux bug in the wild. Not proof of concepts. I am forced to live in a Microsoft world supporting their products, but would never subject my family or people care about to it.

HAHA its quite alright. For sure google chrome is where we are headed. I just do not see it for a couple more support cycles. Ms is so deeply embedded in the business world.

Neil, why can't I view member posts, topics etc with Chrome? And only on VJ.

Edit. I can view topics. The only thing I can't do is view members posts.

2nd edit. I can only view member topics when in a thread. If I go to members profile, I cannot view topics.

No idea. Maybe another application that runs inside Chrome such as your media player or CSS interpreter or whatever is making Chrome run differently on your machine. Mines is okay. Sorry man. Try reinstalling Chrome.

Do you think I should use Revo Uninstaller to remove it and then try it again? Instead of just using the built in uninstaller?
