I'm using Firefox currently, and I do like it more than IE by far. The thing I don't like is that frequently when it updates it loses all of my stored info-usernames/passwords and stuff.

How does Chrome compare there? And, I'm curious to know if anyone else has that problem with Firefox.

Never had the problem with firefox. Since Chrome and Firefox is opensource, they both can share data because Google used many of the stuff in firefox on Chrome.

Is it okay with MS to put GC on MS's computer? It's not really your or my computer, MS thinks they own it. MS did block NS and for a short while FF so would be surprised if they let me put on GC on my computer. And what about FF, do they mind if I put GC on my computer? When IE came out with ver 8.0 on my XP box, my compute crashed, thought maybe it was because I was running XP, but it did upgrade successfully with Vista, maybe MS wants me to upgrade to Vista, but I resorted to my backup with ver. 7 on it and I blocked upgrades from MS.

I don't need extraneous problems with my computer, but MS seems to be the prime source of them, have enough problems without them. I mostly use FF, but forced to use IE for some sites, when I do, my anti-virus program goes crazy with flashing warning windows, IE is trying to load tracking software to know what I am doing and also attempts to load corrupted files. But IE did let me choose which partition I can use so I picked my drive F for that, stands for fvcked up data and stays off my root drive.

Seems like once every 2-4 weeks FF has an update, let it update with no problems on losing my cookies or passwords, don't mind losing my cookies, didn't even know I had cookies, thought that was a female thing. But PC Tools Spyware is always telling me I have naughty cookies. If I boot my computer, Iolo is always updating that makes me reboot my computer, seems pretty good in finding virus's in MP3's and .jpg files my "friends" like to send to me, but they get deleted and write them back, are you trying to crash my computer?

Seems like the only control I have over my computer is to unplug it, that I can do that solves a lot of problems.

When you say new update of Chrome, how new are you talking about? I use Chrome and like it a lot. It is definitely faster than IE and slightly faster than FF. I don't know if I have the latest version (I downloaded over 6 months ago). Is there a way to check?

Some sites run strangely on it though or refuse to run. I think as it becomes more mainstream, these problems will become less.

The new updated Google Chrome is the fastest browser ever! I highly recommend this to everyone.

Actually, Safari is even faster. It's basically Chrome underneath, but Apple have done a great job

making the JavaScript engine run even faster.
