I submitted my AOS/AP/EAD package in October and have yet to receive any mail from the USCIS. I called the call center and they were able to give me my case numbers (Because I fibbed and told them I submitted everything more then 30 days ago) so I was able to check their status online.. Well. Turns out they mailed my my NOA's and the post office returned them on Nov. 11th.. and as if that wasn't enough, I checked again today and it looks like yet more mail (biometrics notice, perhaps?) was returned by the post office as "undeliverable".

Ok, so I thought I had stuff sorted out with the post office after we added my name to the address but apparently not. I'll deal with that.

My issue now is how to get USCIS to send me my biometrics letter again? They told me when I called before that they wouldnt resend the NOA's unless I was updating or changing my address- which I can't do because my address is correct.. just my post office is dumb.

The call center is closed now and I am just freaking out. If that was a biometrics appointment notice, I'm really worried about missing the appointment...

Any advice?

might be kind of late advice but for future maybe?

My husband and I have both our names on a paper just inside the mail box, so when the mail man opens it he sees both our names. I also have my former last name so that I get any redirected mail with my former last name on it too.

Maybe call USCIS tomorrow and tell them that the post sent all your mail back to them and you are having trouble with your post office? Maybe they wills end it back to you if you explain what happend.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

make an infopass appointment and be sure to take your case number. Go to your local USCIS office. Explain it to the IO there...the call center will be of no help. While you are there, you can probably do your biometrics anyway and they will straigten it out so you get your mail sent again.

Yeah, neither of us realized we had to do that.. and I guess that was the problem. We did update it a week or two ago but I guess it wasn't quick enough :bonk:

I have no idea to be honest, however as an inexperienced individual I would think if you got a P.O. Box that would count as a change of address. Small price to pay for reassurance and the chance to get the letters again. Keep it as long as you need it and then get rid of it.

January 2009 - K-1 Denied by the consulate

January 2011 - Moved to India - Yikes!

October 2011 - DCF filing rejected by overzealous employee at the embassy

December 2011 - Tourist visa denied (not surprising)

March 2012 - CR1/IR1 process started

May 1, 2012 - RFE and some of our information was entered into the computer wrong by the CSC

This seems to be a localized thing. It has never been an issue here but we live on a tiny island and about everyone knew when Alla arrived anyway, including the mail-lady. But it is probably a good idea to notify the post office.

Yeah, it is definitely not an issue where I am from.. Which is why it never occurred to me to change it. Oh well.. Thanks for the suggestion. Info pass it is! Though Im not looking forward to the 5 hour drive to get there, it will probably give me much greater peace of mind in the long run.

Thanks all<3
