I just saw a lady being denied of k3 visa in China because her spouse has only visited her once after their marriage to the time of interview. I live in chile and wonder what kind of question to expect during my interview. Like i said earlier, i have my NOA1 for I-130 and NOA1 for I-129F meaning that i should start getting myself ready.

Here is my question: Will it be ok if i have my wife come here in Chile during my time of interview? What effect will it have if my wife goes with me to the embassy during the interview for the k3 visa?

I really would like to make good use of my chance now of being with my wife than take the risk of being denied the visa or have it delayed.

Below is my timeline.

Thanks all for being there for ourselves.

Every embassy has different rules about the USC spouse being present, but I believe most are amenable to their accompanying the beneficiary. It certainly helps to demonstrate a bona fide relationship, as the CO gets to see the 2 of you together. Since 80% of communication is in body language, I can only assume that they read this too (not reading 'non-verbal' cues is a very difficult skill to learn!)

The USEM China, to all account, is a difficult embassy to get through...

Timeline Summary:

K-1/K-2 NOA1 - POE: 9 February - 9 July 2010

Married: 17 July 2010

AOS mailed - Interview : 22 November 2010 - 10 March 2011

ROC mailed - approved: 14 February - 18 June 2013

Citizenship mailed - ceremony: 9 February - 7 June 2017

The OP is bringing a loved one from Chile, not China but in any event no family visas go through the US Embassy in China. They go through the US Consulate in Guangzhou, China.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
