Also hoping for a January interview.

But there are many Canadian CR-1s with Case Complete who have been waiting since July and August, so my November CC may not bode well for a January date.

I'm keeping my hopes up though. :)

Why did the NVC sent you a RFE on your I-864? I am just a little concern about my household income on my I-864.

Hey all...

Yep. I would really like a January interview date. We've been waiting since August 10th, that's when our case was first complete. Canada is really dropping the ball on this one. I was just thinking how am I going to cope if people from Canada who finished AFTER me start getting dates?

I just read here that it's based on your priority date? I didn't think that was applicable to CR/IR1s and that our interviews are scheduled based on when we finished at the NVC.

Gah. Am having a crappy day/week and really getting bummed about the fact that we've been waiting so long.

SO... count me in. But who knows with Canada how much longer they're going to make us wait and the worst thing is? IT doesn't even really make sense.

/rant.

Hopefully we will get something for January. They have to clear the backlog sometime soon, I hope!

Got the interview date for Jan. 19th 2010. :dance: Yeppe :dance:

I tried calling NVC and the line was busy the whole time. But then I got the email later in the evening. I'm so excited!

CR-1/NVC
November 16, 2009: Sign-in Failed!!
November 16, 2009: December interviews already scheduled. Operator told me to wait for a possible January interview date. Call back in the 2nd week of December
November 30, 2009: Been trying to call NVC but line busy since late after noon. Finally, got email appointment letter from NVC with the Interview date of January 19, 2010. Yeppe Alhamdulillah>
December 24, 2009: Medical Done and report recieved the same day.
January 11, 2010: Medical submitted at VFS. They asked for: Copy of Packet 3, Appointment letter, and Passport. They told her to take a copy of I-864 and the documents submitted with it, at the time of interview with other proof of relationship documents.
January 19, 2010: VISA APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 21, 2010: Visa recieved in mail (Package included passport with visa stamped, sealed big brown envelop to be submitted at POE immigration at the airport, and instructions to apply for SS Card)

USA
February 07, 2010: POE Chicago --> Very easy, within 45 minutes
March 02, 2010: SS Card recieved in mail. Welcome letter recieved in mail as well
March 13, 2010: GC Recieved in mail

January 29, 2015: N-400 Application submitted

Nothing is "wrong" per se...they're just seriously backlogged, and there's next to no information coming out of the consulate as to the status of the backlog...

Nejay: the RFE was for a minor issue -- on our I-864 we put the adjusted gross figure of my wife's (the USC) tax returns. The wording on that question is a bit misleading. They really want your overall gross income. It took no time at all to correct and within two days we were back on course and had a case complete three days after the RFE was issued. That quick turnaround was due to electronic processing, mind you...an option available only in Canada and China.

Everytime you call the NVC about the long wait, they give you the same generic answer - to call back next month. :angry:

Yup...I just got off the phone with them myself...same answer. Call back in two weeks. Sigh.

Married: 07-03-09

NOA1: 09-04-09

NOA2: 10-01-09

Just got off the NVC voice response system a few minutes ago...case complete for me as of yesterday, December 4. I really hope we get a January interview date as well. Guess I'll talk to an NVC operator after two weeks to find out =D..

CR1 Case Complete 28SEP09 - No interview. Called today, told" "We are doing December interviews now, if you don't have anything, call back after December 18th and hopefully we'll have good news" ARGH!!!! :bonk:
