Yup...listen to Malrothien. She knows her stuff!

You don't need to go to the Canadian side to enjoy Niagara Falls. I'm sure it's beautiful, but I thoroughly enjoyed the U.S. side of Niagara Falls. Either way, it's a hell of a lot of water falling a long distance...and you can stand literally a metre from the edge at some points.

You should spend some time in Buffalo too. Great little city. :)

Also, DON'T try to "risk" crossing the border. It may be tempting...but don't do it!

DO NOT leave the country. You don't have AP yet and the K-1 is a one entry only visa. This means that if you left you would not be allowed back in!!! Honestly, if I were you, I wouldn't even go close to the border just in case for some reason you accidentally crossed it. Pick somewhere else to go, or like others have said, stay on the US side.

It would be really hard to cross the border at Niagara Falls accidentally. If you haven't been there you'll have to trust me on this. ;)

It is a cool place. If you feel like getting a lot of exercise, check out Whirlpool or Devil's Hole state parks. The climb down to the river is easy-the one back up not so much. ;)

In addition to the fact that you cannot leave the US and return unless you have a green card or the Advance Parole (AP), if you are a citizen of India you would also need to have a visa to enter Canada and you do not have enough time to apply for and receive a visa for this weekend. It is a moot point for now since you cannot safely leave the US, but in the future after you have an Advance Parole document but do not yet have a green card you would still need a visa to enter Canada.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
