Well, it looks like the only K-1 question he answered was my question:

Matt, from Biloxi, MS writes:

Mr. Gonzalez,Due to the recently enacted IMBRA law, many visa applications (specifically I-129F K-1 applications) are being held up at the California Service Center with no word on when the approval process will begin again. The Vermont Service Center seems to be approving visas but the process at the California Service Center seems to be broke. Could you please tell us when we can expect to see this fixed? Many people have been waiting patiently but are starting to get impatient due to the inactivity and lack of answers from your personnel. Thank you.

Dr. Emilio González

Both the Vermont Service Center and the California Service Center are actively adjudicating petitions for alien fiance (Form I-129F). All those still pending that came in on the old, pre-IMBRA version if the I-129F have recently been sent a request for the additional information required under IMBRA. Once responses are received by the Service Centers, these cases will be completed.

Looking back, I should have added that there is no action on the behalf of CSC even on the petitioners that have returned the RFE. He really sidestepped that one...

See, the whole problem I have is that these petitions were sitting for months...they could have been "pre-approved" pending the return of a satisfactory RFE and then completed quickly, but they aren't. It seems they just let them stack and did nothing to be proactive where they could turn these petitions quickly once the RFE was received.

However, I have to say, the question was very well worded...

Thanks :D

I see what we did wrong.

We didnt kiss his a$$ before we asked our questions ,thats why we didnt get much of a chance to have our voices heard.

Typical govt. side stepping #######.

Wow i am beginning to feel like our govt. really doesnt care about the citizens here unless we fit thier own agenda.

If only gov't could be like private industry...the four service centers would be competing for our dollar. We'd be jumping on the Vermont bandwagon, and in Cal, heads would be rolling!!

This is a bummer, I was really looking forward to the complementary KY question being answered.... guess he "slipped" away from it yet again.

Brilliant reference... as I feel like we have been taking up the #@! since March 6 and it is just easier with a little KY.

Sorry, I know this is crass, BUTT I can't help it.

Congrats! Now what do you win? You should win something like an Amana gas range or a trip aboard the S.S. Speedy Approval.

I am glad he picked one of our questions and it alluded to the black hole of immigration that is CSC. You get a :star: gold star :star: for sure. Thanks for your efforts.

You also have to remember that there are other "more important" visas waiting to be approved, like the workers visa. Also, if they pay that magical dollar amount they get to go to the head of the line. I'm starting to wonder if the whole IMBRA thing isn't two fold, stalling the K1 and K3 visas so that they can focus their attention on the workers visa and bring in some real money. Like it or not it's always about the money!

Thanks

No, I realize that but the workers visas didn't just have something pass like the IMBRA. I'm really not sure how those service centers work...do they have dedicated reps that just handle certain types of visas?

Well, I'm going to assume you're being sincere then. My apologies. I'm just disappointed that mine was the only one that got chosen out of the hundreds that were probably submitted from VJ members regarding the K-1 processing. I didn't expect us to get anything other than lip service but I was hoping we'd get some glimmer of hope.
