I was thinking about asking the following question: Why the affidavit of support form is needed to bring a fiancee or spouse to the U.S. when an affidavit of support is not needed for illegal immigrants to prove that they can support themselves and not become a ward of the state?

Yes, a very good question indeed but why ruffle feathers? My sweetheart will be here soon, legally, no need to worry about her being taken away from me.

Thanks,

Keith & Xiang

What I can't believe is that more people have not responded to this thread. It seems that if someone puts up a thread to complain about how slow the process is progressing 50,000 individuals reply. However, here we have a solid chance to have our collective voices heard and it seems, at least from the lukewarm response this thread has received, that not many people plan on submitting a question. I can guarantee that if as many people that complain on this forum actually "officially" voiced their concerns this process would speed up overnight.

This is the U.S. people. Why is it that so many people worldwide want to come here? Not only for a higher standard of living, but also because we truly have a government that (whether you love it or hate it) is ultimately accountable to its citizens.

Let our voices be heard. Do not just complain about the problem, do something about it.

Do you actually believe that Gonzalez will see most or all of the questions? No way Dude.

Once the White House protocol staff filter them, there may be 4 or 5 hard luck cases that will actually be addressed. I would be surprised, if he is even made aware of the statistics of common questions from us.

People at his level only aim to bolster their popularity. This is the life of a Cabinet level official.

I submitted questions as well.

My first was the same as everyone else, why CSC is so slow

My last question dealt with the retroactive date chosen of March 6 instead of starting with June 1 when the law went into effect. I also mentioned the added delay and cost to the taxpayers for sending out the RFE's and the processing.

and William, you are right. This issue will never make the Q&A.

I disagree .. I think it will .. but we wont get the answer we want.. we will get something like this.

"We at USCIS understand the problems at hand, IMBRA is affecting all petitions after March 6, but rest assured we are working all cases"

Nice .. lets not answer anything answer.

I posted the IMBRA questions too. I also posted a question about why USCIS doesn't offer premium processing like they do for employment based petitions.

For those of you who dont know. On certain employment based petitions USCIS will for an extra $1,000 guarantee 15 day processing. I was just wondering why K-1 and K-3 petitioners don't get that same opportunity to get 15 day processing.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

An interesting concept is that some people read this thread, submitted their question, and then didn't feel the need to post about it. Which is more important? Submitting your question to the USCIS or posting it here? Talking an issue to death doesn't solve it, action does.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I'm not offended at all. Actually, I find myself offended by your assumption that others would agree.

Uling - keep it! We need humor in here!
