Hi All,

Ok called Dos yesterday, and finally got an interview for the 26th November! Very excited. However, apparently the letter was sent over a week and a half ago and I still have not got it. Just got two questions from those who have got it.

1) Do you need the letter to get into the embassy?

2) Is there any additional information on the letter i.e. additional forms to fill out? We never filled out the Part 2 of the d-230, guess I should fill this out just incase? Is there anything else apart from the other forms listed on the website (i.e. affadivit, police cert, birth cert, evidence_

Thanks for everyones help!

Hi, I got mine this morning. It basically tells you your interview date, mentions that you should have had your medical and that if you want your SO to attend then you have to let the embassy know asap.

It has a link to an outline of what will happen at your interview

http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/visa/.../visaforms.html then you need form IV19 for Fiance visas

I don't know if you can get in without your letter...I'm sure there are others here who will know for sure.

hope this helps

Amanda :)

If you have an interview, you'll be "on the list" and without an interview letter you can tell the guards you never got it, but you know it's today. They will cross check, then let you in.

If you still feel like you are having heart burn over it, you can call the extortion line, tell them you know your interview is next week (the 26th? Thanksgiving? They are working next Thursday??) but you don't have the appointment letter. They should give you the email code, and then after you email them they will email back with something you can print out to bring with you.

K-1:

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.

More detailed time line in profile.

Im surprised as well that they've given an the appointment on thanksgiving. Anyone who follows the USembassy on twitter (like me... geek) will have seen the holiday list for the embassy.. which suggests its closed on thanksgiving... :(
