The reason I have so much of a problem crossing honestly into the USA is the direct result of so many "illegals" getting into the country and this SUCKS!!!!!!! I have no sympathy for them.

Do you have any idea how awful it is and stressful it is every time I cross into the USA, I get interrogated, have to prove all of my 46 years of ties to Canada, sit there for at least an hour every time explaining the same thing over and over to the officer. This is the most stressful thing I have ever been through in my life....and why?????

Illegals..go back home and do things the lawful way I say!

If being questioned for an hour is the most stressful thing that has happened to you, then you must have a very charmed existence, and should probably count yourself lucky.

As I type, I'm sitting here with an incredbly infected wisdom tooth, and a swollen face. It will cost me hundreds of dollars to get my wisdom teeth extracted because I still don't have my work permit, and therefore can't afford health or dental insurance. This isn't a particularly nice situation to be in, but my life is still far more pleasant, and far more filled with opportunity, than the average "illegal" immigrant. I can't even begin to imagine the sufferings of "illegals" before and after they arrive in this country.

I don't know what any of the people on here have to complain about. It would seem that the vast majority of us are relatively privileged people, so why all this hatred against illegal immigrants?

Why?

1. Legal citizens pay billions in taxes to pay for illegals health care (Public hospitals have to admit anyone in need of care)

2. Legal citizens pay billions more then they should for insurance to protect against the illegal, uninsured, unlicensed illegal drivers

3. Vast USCIS, DOS resources are used up handling illegals court cases, petitions, deportations reducing the resources available to process LEGAL immigrant applications, making all of us following the rules wait much longer.

4. They do not pay taxes to support this country

Bottom line, they drain resources and money from people who live by the rules.

Really? It comes out of their checks? Their checks are being processed through what legal entity? On who's social security number? If a company is paying taxes on their behalf, then that company has to account for them through social security. If they're paying taxes, then they've stolen someone's social...twice illegal now...

Otherwise, they're getting paid under the table, and not paying taxes. So, they're either committing another crime, or not contributing...

First I want to clarify that Illegal imigrants DO pay taxes. This is done by obtaining an ITIN number wich is a subtitute of a social security number. This was done specially by the US government to allow illegal immigrants to pay taxes witout having to have fake paper of any sort.

My family is Cuban. They left Cuba in 1969 to immigrate to the US the LEGAL!!!!! way. Cuba in 1969 WAS MUCH WORSE THAN MEXICO.

Yeah, only because cubans get special priviledge in the US and get their paper right away, i'm not saying cuba is not bad but there are other countries that are in the same or worse conditions and do not recieve any of those priviledges! If it wasn't for that ALL those cubans will be here as illegaly as the mexicans that cross the borders.

uhm, they did not get "special privileges". They had to wait in a lottery for a spot to come to the US, while having to give everything they owned up to the government - they were allowed to bring ONE THING with them. This is also 40 years ago, so shut up.

No! they can still come to the US now, as long as they touch US ground they are allowed to stay here legally. If this was true for Mexicans they would not be in the same situation. I have nothing against Cubans, I love them actually, but they have to recognized that concerning immigration to the US, they have an advantage over everyone else.

Believe me I work in the "general hospital" in town and illegals can get free medical care WAY before our own poor citizens. I say send them ALL back.
