alright guys lets start

Is there anyone in this world can say those are soccer's fans ?!!

In fact they are bunch of gang members . thats what Algeria sent to Sudan and we sent actors ,singers, students, business man ......

And how about a neutral source, about this same video.

In Algeria, Everyone was/is wearing Algerian Jerseys: young, old, babies,... but fans who travel to Sudan to support their team don't. If you can believe that, you can believe anything.

 If you want to know WHY what happened happened, all you have to do is read this thread.

Nationalism. run. amok.

I have to agree. Then again I can't point fingers as I'm British and we're notorious for some of the worst hooligans in the world. However, can I be cheeky and ask, are you as aware of nationalism closer to home?

Lol, of course. Anyway, it's a worldwide disease unfortunately. Flare ups can happen at any time.

True, but unfortunately in this case what makes it worse is that Arabs are forever telling the world of Arab brotherhood, etc. Your average British hooligan never claims that the French, the Germans or the Turks etc are his brothers in religion or ethnicity.

He's talking about the tons of news reports, special talk shows and videos showing in the Middle East about Algeria and Egypt.

News reports of Algeria faking the attack on the bus: No broken glass inside the bus but windows busted outside and proving that they were trying to have the match played outside the country by setting up a hoax attack. Videos showing this has been all over the news there. There was also an article about a Israeli news reporter (who is Palestian if I remember correctly) that tried to instigate fights in Cairo during the first match and Egypt had him detained and deported back to Israel. Je caused a lot of problems posing as a crazed Algerian fan in the streets.

News reports of Algeria preparing to release or releasing prisoners to attack Egyptian fans, etc if they were to win the match in Sudan.

News reports of Algeria's attacks (1 death I heard about, not sure about the rape tho) on innocent Egyptian fans, business owners, etc right after the match that has continued. They have even posted numbers to Egytian citizens in Sudan to get them free plane rides home quickly to avoid any more violence.

The videos and articles are on famous talk shows and news there as well as reported on Al Jazerra.

There are reports of Egytians going to protest and retaliate at the Algerian embassy in Cairo however, I'm not sure what has transpired in the past 12 hours...so who knows.

It is all very sad that any innocent fan would be injured or killed whether Egyptian or Algerian.

You're talking about the same talk shows who created all these problems? I read a lot of articles about this issue from neutral news sources, and I think Egyptians need to learn to respect their opponents, fair play, and accept defeat as part of the game.

Honestly, I think your statement is too late at this point. If you read my last statement you'd understand I'm not supporting violence on either end. No one should be injured or die because of a fooking sport game! I was simply referring to what another poster was trying to say in his limited English. To wrongs do NOT make a right. If Algerians were so respectful of their win (going based off your above statement) then the violence would have ended in Egypt, correct?

I do agree about the talk show you're referring to...he is the exact same person who has created many issues before...but not all he states on that show is false. As the old saying goes, there are three sides to EVERY story; His side (algeria), the other persons side (Egypt) and the TRUTH (somewhere in btwn).

I pray for peace and an end to this violence for all. I hope all of us here no matter what your opinion is will feel the same way! If this doesn't stop, whats next, war? It's disgusting.

nancy this man dont know what he talk about he even ashamed from what happened and what his people done all arab countries plamed algerian about what happened>>>>>>>egypt for ever (egyptian and proud)

I think you are letting your media play you for a fool. There is no doubt there was bad behavior by some on both sides, but to deny that the Algerian bus was attacked (which seems pretty irrefutable) and then accept any outlandish rumor that supports Egypt is just downright silly (c'mon, fighter jets?). It mirrors the way any conspiracy theory spreads by feeding into our worst prejudice and frustration at the expense of reason or knowledge. You can be (and should be) Egyptian and proud, but this is no excuse for blind repetition of whatever incendiary rumors are thrown your way. You want something to be proud of? I suggest a smidge if humility, independent thought and sportsmanship.

You can also be proud of a game well played. Considering the pressure and the behavior of some fans I think the players on both sides, young and with the spotlight on them, pulled out two good games and showed real grace in that.

The Arab world is not on Egypt's side. Nor Algeria's for that matter. This BS makes you both look silly.

Ok it seems like you don't believe that video and you have a doubt about it .

Well what about in 1984 the Algerian national team attacked the Egyptian national team in Egypt after Egypt won the match .do you think that we fake that ?

Back to 1989 '' Egypt vs Algeria '' when the Egyptian national team won the match in Egypt and went to WC.the best player in Algerian team at that time his name is '' Alakhdar Balomy '' when he went back to the hotel after the match he attacked one of the Egyptian fans at the hotel '' a Doctor and he scooped out his eye '' and he should be in prison for 3 years .do you think we fake that ?

Last year '' the Egyptian team vs Shabibat bagaia team '' the Algerians fans attacked the Egyptian team and his manger Ebrahiam Hassan and the Egyptian fans with rocks and with the fireworks ..... do you think we fake that ?

This year '' Egypt vs Algeria '' the first match they gave the Egyptian players bad food in fact expired koskos before they play the match . and most of the Egyptian national team were going to die and they were so sick even the Coach ''Hassan Shahata '' do you think we fake that ?

Go and google what people in Algeria do after a soccer match even between 2 Algerians teams .

Alerigans people supposed to be arab and it supposed to be an arabian country .you know what they even can not speak arabic !!!!!!!!

Last but not least

Last year '' Algeria VS France '' after the France won the match and it was even friendly match!!!. the Alergian people attacked french people and they destroyed cars, stores, attacked the France police.....

You know what the presdeint of France said about that :-

''France will never ever play against Algeria again no matter what.not officially or friendly match against Algeria again cause they are so violents people ''

Do you think that was fake ?

Nothing's impossible . Nothing's unreachable .When I am weary you make me stronger

This love is beautiful .So unforgettable . I feel no winter cold when we are together .

Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

You make things right every time after time.....

Will you stand by me ?!!!

I love you so much and i miss you so much more .

I wonder why there is so much insistence that what happend to the Algerian national team is fake BUT everything that makes Algerians look bad is real.

I think they're all a bunch of nutjobs. It's just a dang game.

Also, can Hotguy please tell me where in the Quran it says that Egyptians are the best warriors? It's mentioned so many times in this thread and I'd really like to see it.

They are just repeating what they have been told.

Most major news outlets have written this up by now and one can find many objective reports if they desire. If they do not, there is just enough truth to all the BS to let conspiracy theories fly. Egyptian fans stoned the Algerian team bus. Algerian fans attacked Orascom and EgyptAir. Egyptians rioted in front of the Algerian Embassy. Bad behavior on both sides. But, no one was killed. No one was raped. Algeria did not release prisoners and fly them in on fighter jets. And Egypt most certainly does not have the strongest military on earth. And, two fair games were played.

You know, after the Cairo game there were plenty of youtube videos by enraged Algerians claiming people had been attacked and murdered. I think they are as inflammatory and false as those from Egyptians. And, I am sure if Algeria had lost in Sudan, Algerians would be spewing the same BS. It is stoked by politicians and media as a distraction. It is to me a classic example of how conspiracy theories grow with the modern twist of the internet, which should ideally help diffuse these things through information, but can also encourage it through disinformation.

But, for anyone who is interested (and I would guess no one is anymore), google it and read the news--Reuters, BBC, NYTimes, the Atlantic, French papers, the Arabic press etc all have articles and all come to very similar conclusions. In the meantime, hope for a world with decent leaders and responsible media. And let's not ruin the only truly global sport.

I thought this CNN video was interesting.

Meriem, thank you for posting that. (F)

While I know she posting that in humor/lightheartedness to prove the Algerian side because of the tone of this thread and the back and forth accusations or "here is my proof" w/ the Egypt and Algeria situation.

However, that video she posted only proves how REAL the Egyptian peoples anger is at Algeria that they would protest so violently outside an embassy and the videos before posted about Algeria's violence again how REAL their anger is towards Egypt too. Both sides are in serious turmoil and the media is fueling it.

The sad part is...both sides are hurting, both sides have done wrong and the media is playing them both. I think everyone needs to get over the "they started it/conspiracy theory" on both sides or we are no better than those commiting these disgusting acts.

I'm joking with the next picture but seriously I hope the anger stops.
