I really would love to visit Japan one day.

I love their culture and their language.

I'm also an avid fan of anime. (No, I'm not childish )

And I love Miyazaki's movies so, so much.

Hot sake.

Sushi.

Perhaps greatest of all - the capacity and ability of the Japanese people to overcome their overwhelming defeat in WWII, and to refashion a modern and technologically advanced and prosperous society within approximately one generation. Japan could have turned into a defeated bitter shell of a country, harboring ongoing resentment against the USA for the forced surrender, and the atomic destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Instead - Japan is a strong prosperous nation and an ally of the USA and freedom loving countries everywhere.

They make some pretty awesome beers, too :)

Indeed... the ASAHI golden '#######' is quite the sight. :D

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Japan's on my list of countries to visit someday but it seems pretty expensive to travel around there. I'd rather see India or China again until the prices drop in Japan get more reasonable. It won't happen soon if ever.

Would you believe me if I told you that a week in Tokyo, Nikko, and Kamakura cost me (including transportation and hotels) less than $1100? This is including some light shopping. Last time there was 2004, so maybe prices dropped a tiny bit. Basically it was traveling really light, spending light (two decent meals plus a good snack at Lawsons or 7-11), and experiencing the culture more than some of the more expensive touristy things.

I absolutely love Japan. I spent two weeks there, visiting a friend, in 2005. I love how everyone stands to one side of the esculator. I love the cleanliness and the technology. I love how polite people are. I would also love to have one of those Japanese toilets and refrigerators in my house...mostly the toilet. I know it's crazy, but I wish I had one of those toilets.

The squatter?

I loved the hand dryers in public restrooms. Kinda creepy if you ask me... which made drying even more fun.

 I will wait until the technology gets better, I have played it a bit and wasn't too impressed but they are moving in the right direction.
