On July 24, 2006, SSA will open the Queens Social Security Card Center that will be located in Jamaica, New York.

Effective July 24, 2006, all persons with a residence or mailing address in the service area of Queens or Brooklyn, New York must transact all SSN card business with either the Queens or Brooklyn, NY Card Center.

These offices serve both U.S. citizens and noncitizens applying for new or replacement Social Security cards

The Queens Center is located at:

155-10 Jamaica Ave, 2nd Floor

Jamaica, New York 11432

Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Brooklyn Card Center is located at:

625 Fulton Street, Sixth Floor

Brooklyn, NY 11201

Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

FYI

This offices serve both U.S. citizens and noncitizens applying for new or replacement Social Security cards in the Las Vegas, NV area.

Las Vegas Card Center:

1250 South Buffalo Drive

Suite 100

Las Vegas, NV 89117

Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

01/01/2010 - finally an update - awaiting interview letter

02/08/2010 - interview (Garden City, NY) -- PASSED

03/03/2010 - Oath Ceremony in Brooklyn

03/13/2010 - U.S. Passport in hand

DONE!!!
