I'm collecting all papers to file I-130,I-485 etc.

I'm confused with bills. Should I send the last ones or the first ones? I mean phone, gas, water, cable, credit and debit statements?

Also we don't have joint tax returns yet. I think USCIS will send RFE for taxes. What should I do about it?

Is it ok if I highlight most important details on copies (credit purchases, phone call logs, emails) ?

Thank you !

You do not send that with the AOS. You bring it to the interview...if any. If you were married THIS year, they wouldn't expect a joint tax return until after 2009, and not really expect it until at least April 15, 2010

Here it says:

"Note: Evidence of a Bonifide Marriage

The USCIS now requires that when filing an I-130 for a spouse that you include evidence of a bonifide marriage. They list examples of acceptable evidence as:

1. Documentation showing joint ownership or property; or

2. A lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence; or

3. Documentation showing co-mingling of financialresources; or

4. Birth certificate(s) of child(ren) born to you, thepetitioner, and your spouse together; or

5. Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties havingpersonal knowledge of the bona fides of the maritalrelationship (Each affidavit must contain the full nameand address, date and place of birth of the person makingthe affidavit, his or her relationship to the petitioner ofbeneficiary, if any, and complete information and detailsexplaining how the person acquired his or herknowledge of your marriage); or

6. Any other relevant documentation to establish that thereis an ongoing marital union."

Alla, could you please explain me what to send with my I-130? I'm so confused

OK, it is different than from a K-1 sorry. I would send what is on the list, what is the question? There you have the list. You need to send one OR more of the items above. what is confusing? Lease with both names OR joint bank account statements OR letters from family OR birth certificates.

Again, they do not list utility bills or anything of the sort on that list.

What kind of evidence do you have from that list? I think you need something a little stronger and more concrete than just some utility bills.

I have evidence like:

-lease on both names

-credit, debit cards on both names

-bills (phone, electric, water, cable) all in both names

-memberships

-emails

-postcards, letters

-receipts of gifts, purchases for home

-airline tickets (visiting his family together and they us)

-engagement cards

-lots of pictures (friends, relatives,us) for 2 years

-post office record, bank record (change of address when we moved in together)

We were thinking about getting affidavits from his (USC) and my mother and religious worker (that we attend all holidays together).

My question : what should I send out of this list with I-130?

It is very confusing as everyone says different.

An Englishman goes into the jungle with a rifle. He sees an elephant. He takes aim and fires. If he has used enough gun, both him and the elephant will be flattened to the earth. He will stand up again, the elephant will not. It is best to be a bit overgunned than to be trampled by an elephant.

Send it all, end of confusion. They will not reject you for too much. The only confusion comes when someone tells you what you should NOT send. I never do that. For our AOS interview I brought every document I ever sent, plus every piece of evidence I could scrape up. I needed NONE. I brought it back home with approved green cards.
