I went with Minnew today to look at the trees again and she likes the one I like but then we both saw another tree that was AMAZING! and then saw the price tag! haha just about died almost 300$ for it.

Im likely going to go and get the tree ( hopefully they have some left ) within the next week, my mom gets here on the 26th and im going to take her shopping with me. Target has some really nice decorations for a really good price as well as a lot of selection for lights that are all on sale too.

Too bad they didn't have the canadain pine on display @ menards!!

Now I have to drag my husband out this weekend to possibly buy icicle lights and show him the selection of "our first x mas ornaments" ( we already have one, but need one as a married couple. I never know what he's picky or not about.......lol. I can't do any home decorating without his approval. Heheh!

The hallmark ones are nice lil bit pricy but only gonna buy one special one a year to fill up our tree.

Whenever I'm on vacation, I like to buy an ornament as the one souvenir I get. This summer went to Hershey, PA and I got a glass ornament shaped like a Hershey Kiss with some vintage-esque Santa images on it. I love it.

I also have a nice glass one from San Francisco that my cousin got for me. I don't remember if I brought it though when I moved, haha.

I also have every Hallmark Holiday Barbie ornament from 1994 - 2008, but they are in Canada also, so hopefully whenI get my own tree and house, I can use them to decorate my tree! I'm sure my husband will loveeeee that! Haha.

At this time of year malls usually have a booth where you can get an ornament and get something written on it, like "First Christmas" and have 2 bears or something. They usually aren't TOO expensive.

My vote is wait until after christmas and buy a fake tree at 75% off.. we got a beautiful one that was 300 and it was a steal at 75% off.. we love it, and the year we got it we left it up for most of January because we didn't have it before the holiday :)
