I have a VJ rant. For some reason the term "USEM" has permeated the boards here on VJ, with most believing it to mean US Embassy. However, it really is an acronym for US Embassy Manila (as in the Phillippines). It drives me insane to see people referring to the US Embassy in London (or any other one. for that matter!) as the USEM!

OK. I really had to get that off my chest.

Awww, that's so sweet Frosty. You have an amazing fiance. I hope you LOVE the U.S. and find it to be better than you could ever hope for.

I also noticed that the U.K. is not very handicap friendly. There are days when I stress my old injuries and surgery sites then can barely make it to the car. Thanks for the post, it made me realize how great it can be to live here!

I agree with u Heather on this one ---------------------------->> I still keep thinking that too!

Well, at least you won't have to deal with that any longer. :) I am still looking at Nik and thinking "He's HERE! I get to keep him!" :D

Oh Julez, thank you SO much for taking up my greatest pet peeve (even more than "I has REF -- will I be denied HALP!!1!!!!11!!!"). It would be USEL for London, but then of course you are actually dealing with the consulate -- USCL?
