Count yourself lucky that you didn't go through this a few years ago when a CR1/IR1 easily took 1-2 years from start to finish. You filed a little over 4 months ago and have your case at the NVC already. I remember the days where the I-130 processing times alone were anywhere from 12-18 months - and that was for those straightforward cases that didn't have any RFE's and such.

Just sayin'

Patience. When it's all over, you will wonder what the fuss was all about.

Hang in there.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Do you have any hobbies that you've neglected? Suggest you get back to them, block out a few hours each day .

Can you get outside and exercise? Exercise is a GREAT stress reducer.

If, for any reason, you find yerself to be in a CHANGED emotional or mental state, please get to a licensed psychiatrist asap.

Much of the stress is due to sexual tension, so here's my suggestions to de-stress:

Buy a good bottle of wine. Drink it all.

Get totally drunk.

Call your SO, or skype them whatever.

Have yourself some phone sex. :star:

Hope I could be of some help to you :innocent:

I'm sick of this entire process!

when we were waiting for the K-1 (i know, it's quicker and all as some think)

but yes, there were sooo many times that I got so depressed waiting and waiting

it was driving me crazy lol

ok seriously, it was so sad being away.. i cried for numerous times because i felt it was just so unfair to have to keep waiting for the visa while other people were approved ahead of us even though they had file dates in our timeline..

but you know what though? and I am not saying this just to say it, it did help me and my then-fiance,

we helped each other through the wait, so i suggest make this waiting time matter in a good way!

make it a way to grow together, and you can both learn how to deal with each other in times of stress.

I think that's all that we can really need through this whole thing, our SO, the magnitude of the support you both will give really pays off..

today will end and tomorrow makes you a day closer to your approval

USCIS/DOS? Sep03 to Aug04 for us, seemed like an eternity, we already have been seeing each other for a year then finally popped the question, she said yes before I could finish. Seemed like an eternity but since we both had passports and she had a visa, never let three months go by without being together. Worse times for us is when the Venezuelan electrical, internet, and phone lines were all dead, but normally spent an hour each night on the phone. Was doing a lot of things to my home to suit her taste, lots of photos. She never was interested in anyone else and neither was I. Not quite like my military days with a Dear John, that wasn't meant to be.

Still stressful times with the USCIS with the I-751 and the time between her USC interview and oath ceremony, but that is also history. Big thing for now, can you two stay together during this long wait? If you can't, either you or the other or both, then it wasn't meant to be.

So i'm trying to straighten this out in my head. You are tired of waiting after 4 months, and after exhausting any goodwill to vent in other threads you came to OT for sympathy? Gotta love the logic of this thread.
