Gratz and good luck! WOW, I will be in Thailand when she is doing her interview!!!

You'll be in BKK soon? Sounds good.

Are you going to spend a week or 2 or just collect the family & do a U-turn?

We met another VJ couple the last week I was there and they were very

helpful in sorting out some of the last-minute questions we were having

about the interview preparation. We've kind of lost contact since then

(they are now back in the US and it's easily said they are very busy).

They've been mostly absent from VJ since their travel back home.

Your kid (Chase?) looks way cool. You must be very proud.

Best wishes,

TD4Me

Only spending 2 days and heading home. Nan and her sister will meet me at the airport Monday at 11:45pm and then we will grab at taxi to Saraburi. Nan can finish packing the bags I am bring. They will have some kind of party so everyone can say there good byes

Then head back to the airport Wednesday at Midnight. I rather spend the last of my vacation this year with nan & chase at home in the usa.

She look forward to shopping for all her new winter clothing, Hey what lady would not love to go shopping on black Friday in the usa. haha

Yes I miss Chase very much, Nan gave me my dream when we had Chase, my first child. I am sure my whole life will change in under a week now, for the better I know

We already have a list on who get to hold Chase first, second & third when we get off the plane.

I am sure there is a lot to do when the ladies get to the states. They need to get all there necessary that they left behind. Find where to

get food they can eat. Go meet the rest of the family.

I am really have for you two, I wish you luck, But as long as the paper work is in order, Its a piece of cake now. The lady doing the visa is really nice.

I can see why you want to get home quickly; kids change your life completely (mostly for the better).

For us, it was more important for me to come to BKK at the point where we got the NOA2 (smack in the middle of my 4 wk visit in October)

than for her travel. Her adult son is a senior at Chululonkorn University and we plan to be there in July for his graduation.

On my last day in Thailand her ex drove us to Chulu and we had a nice family lunch, LOL

Every family has it's dysfunction and the fact that I get along reasonably well with hers over a long time period is a plus.

Their divorce was way more amicable than mine and that was a major relief.

In fact she didn't want me to be there for the interview as petitioners are not permitted in BKK

and she was very grateful that we could work together on the pre-interview paperwork.

Nan and me worked about a week going over and over the pre-interview paperwork. Also she talk a lot on a Thai Visa Forum.

That was a big help for her morale, She ended up know most of the ladies that had an interview the same day and they all meet out front of the embassy. Afterwords they all when to lunch together and had a party.

I can say I have a good relationship will all her family except her dad. But that is OK because Nan disowned her father. Gratz on you soon to be step-son graduating the University.

Nan is saying the her mom and her sister are already making plans go come visit her in the USA. When Nan when for her passport I told her to take her mom and get her one too. In the end I think it will be cheaper to send a plane ticket to her then for us to fly to Thailand.

Yes Chase will be a big change, Her immunization messed up our plans for our second child. Have to wait about till April now .

1) I can imagine the happy faces at that restaurant.

2) Getting visas for mom & sister for a visit may present more of a challenge, especially the sister.

When I married my Japanese ex, her mom, father & sister came over here with a week's notice.

They had no idea that she was getting married until a few days before and it's a testament to her

f'd up relationship with her family which she transferred straight to me a few seconds after I

became her husband.

Thailand is looked at differently by the State Department than Japan. I won't say it's impossible,

but it will be an uphill climb. At least you'll be able to go to Thailand with no restrictions.

did she get it?

It's possible it was denied or deferred but I'm still optimistic.

If it's a question of any need for evidence I'm sure we can take care of that.

If it's good news she may be waiting for me to wake up (I've been up since 5 AM and it's 7 AM now) to tell me in real-time chat

We chat so often that we rarely email unless it's something that requires a very long text.
