NBI clearnce From taiwain

hey guys anyone have trouble with getting a NBI clearnce from taiwain?

My fiance's sister couldn't get it. here is what they told her when she went to pick up.

grace :because i have different sign in my old passport

grace : different permanship hun

grace : to my new passport

so what can we do? Is there a service we can use to help us?? Doesn't look like she wil be with me for xmas and maybe not till next year :-((

hello! do you mean a police clearance from taiwan? and whose it for? is it for your fiancee? i have no experience with obtaining a police clearance in taiwan but singapore. maybe this can help her out. if the service is available online, she can request it online. if not, she may want to go to the taiwan embassy in manila to check how she can apply for one.

wow i check the link u gave about meco and am surprise at the requirements... i requested police certificate from taiwan too and i just filled out on line application (printed it), enclosed $11.00 cash, copy of my current passport and returned addressed envelop. i used their direct taipei police website and i received my police certificate in 7 days. ohh well.... i had my visa process in UAE so wonder if that makes the difference.

Dear Applicant:

With regard to your inquiries, we are pleased to reply as follows:

Foreigners living outside Taiwan can apply for a Police Record Certificate by mail. it will take three working days for issuing the certificate from the date we receive your application letter.

The following documents are required:

1. Photocopy of passport (personal information pages ).

2. US$11 dollars for each copy (CASH ONLY. MONEY ORDER,BANK’S DRAFT OR PERSONAL AND TRAVELER’S CHECK IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.), covering ordinary mail postage to the return address. (US$18 dollars for each copy if by international express delivery )

3. Application form http://www.e-services.taipei.gov.tw/hypage...mp;s_uid=157005

4. Self-addressed envelope

Please mail all the above documents and fee to the Taipei City Police Department.

Well update here, We did find that website somebody posted here. Unfortunally she would of ran into the same situation. Her signature on her new passport doesn't match a signature they had on file. They were thinking it was a different person trying to get her info.

So not to get people into trouble, I can't go into the details on how we optained it. If you want to pm offline and i see you have been a member for awhile i will. I just don't want to post it here for the whole world to see cause it could get some people into trouble.

Again VJ members are the best now she just needs to get the paper in hand as her sister mailed it to her on thursday, we hope she get is saturday but dont' know if FEDex will do it. then she can hand it to US embasy on monday and wait for the visa to arrive :-)
