Her book is more about how the media manipulates the audience by posting erroneous or rumors as headlines. It's true. Sometimes when a newspaper post their articles, there's large quotations that emphasizes small comments to make it outrageous.

Example, "Today, the dog was euthanized because of the owner not being careful; however, the owner says, "accidents happens, I am responsible that is why my dog needs to be euthanized"

They like to hide the reasons, stir the pot.

Hey dude, stop taking this thread off topic. :ot:

The OP is not a conservative read on Going Rogue. It's a liberal commie read on the book. Want to have the eval of a true conservative on it? Here you go.

Rush Limbaugh said that this is "one of the most substantive policy books I've read". Hear for yourself.

Now that's a conservative view of the book. Or a poor testimony to the kind of books Rush reads...

Heard on NPR ATC tonight.

Rod Dreher is a conservative columnist at The Dallas Morning News and writes the Crunchy Con blog on Beliefnet.com.

Yes, this is a credible conservative. NOT

Bottom line is whether you like Palin or not, she has more experience than Obama ever dreamed of having. Community agitating (basically a professional campaigner) doesn't make someone president material. This is being proven as Obama is an abject failure in everything he's done. Palin was popular in Alaska for years.

I don't know Mr. Dreher. He bills himself as a conservative columnist. I guess he has as much right to call himself "conservative" as you, or anyone, does.

I won't be surprised if it sells well. Persnonally I'm not into the bs. There was a reason they wouldn't let her talk.

Oh, it is certain to sell well. There's zero doubt about that. It's been presold on Amazon for weeks.

I have no problem with her making a ton of money selling a book - that's what this country is about! If people want to buy her book and she can turn a profit as a result, great for her!

What I am concerned about is that she is being seen as a credible and serious political figure. Again - she has every right to run, and if she can garner the votes, she is certainly electable. Frankly - that prospect does indeed scare me.

That is a scary thought if she is seen as a credible political figure. What was the GOP thinking, or was it a desperation move to try and slow Obama's monmentum?

She has a chance of getting the GOP nomination as most primaries are winner takes all and there will probably be a good number of opponents. But she has no chance in the general election as she is too divisive and cannot get any cross party support.

The GOP has more qualified candidates than Palin. How About Romney?

Of course they do, and I hope for their sake that they actually do nominate one of them. But with the way Republican primaries work, its probably in Palin's favor. All she needs to do is dominate the early primaries and she will probably win.

I think that's still waaaay to early to speculate seriously about. Iowa/New Hampshire won't be until Jan 2012 - more than 3 years from now. There's still the midterms next year before anybody can get a real sense of who's going to be a contender.

I'm not really speculating that Palin will run in 2012, just mentioning that if she did, the primary process can be beneficial to someone like Palin.
