Hi everyone,

On my quest to find answers and my lack of tolerance for the generic answers with USCIS - I have set up an infopass appointment.

Just wanted to see if anyone here has tried that?

So - i'm a july filer, no touch/rfe - contacted congressman - nothing yet - also got a service request and pretty much that resulted in nothing.

I don't expect anything with the infopass but it gives me something to do and an avenue to explore.

Any thoughts out there?

I'm one of those who's viewed the post and hasn't responded. Why? Because I don't known what a info pass is, please fill me in....

Well at the time I kept calling USCIS for updates and they would always tell me "sorry this is all the information we have, feel free to make an info pass appointment"

infopass, is an in person appointment at a local field office.

I had to be creative with qualifying for one (did it through uscis.gov)

but never had to use it bc i got my noa2 a week before my set appointment date :)

You are in a relationship with someone that is in a part of the world that undergoes extra examination. There are countries that have that issue. West Africa, the middle east to name two areas. You may not like the extra wait but it is part of what the government does to make sure that our borders are safe. You aren't going to rush that process. One member here waited over 18 months , Sara . She tried letters and congressmen and just about everything else. Nothing seemingly can pry a stuck petition loose.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

FYI - I already got my noa2 and I'm already at NVC.

I understand extra security - or profiling whatever the case may be - however, I also know if other avenues are available why not use them!

For me in particular, I believe that the congressman helped!

It all comes to luck.
