It seems to work in Navada so with proper regulation and taxing the ####### out of it, why not!?!?!?

No way They need to get rid of them nasty std infested Whores

but if made legal they can regulate it, make them get tested often and hopefully catch diseases before they spread

eta: and they can TAX IT!

I like the way you think! (didn't Rodney Dangerfield say that to Sam Kinnison in Back to School!? )

Sounds like someone who hasn't been to the Netherlands.

We should legalize drugs too. The illegal drug trade would disapear and the drug war would end. Addicts will continue to be addicts but wouldn't have to rob people for money.

And tax it, our debt would be paid off in a week :P Well, maybe not a week

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

A manager in a strip joint... not precisely Donald Trumpesque as i would have expected from your friends.

Who said I hang around with those types either?

I associate for normal. Something becoming extremely scare in this place.

A manager at a strip joint is not precisely a good measure for "normal", but hey! what do I know. I hang out with nerds all the time.

Len she could #### the entire east coast and she still would be 1,000 times more normal than many here.

I can honestly say there is definitely is a different breed of folk here on VJ, especially OT.

PS My damn PC reset as I was typing (Win update). Should read " I only associate with those that are normal"

Perhaps a different approach would be (like in singapore ) that prostitution is allowed in a LICENSED BROTHEL.

The brothel takes care of the taxes, health issues, etc...

Then the prostitute would be an employee of the brothel..

What are your thoughts?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

That is the way it works in Aus too.

If you say so... but i thought she was not a stripper, but the "manager". I am confused now.

Hey, back to topic: will prostitutes have something similar to tenure and promotion? We can name a committee to review their yearly progress

You were friends with a stripper? :wow: really sophisticated.

What's wrong with that? I know some strippers who are highly educated and 'sophisticated'. Just because they strip doesn't make them bad or stupid people.

Hey, nothing at all. I just thought it was out of character for BY, whom we all know is the pinnacle of civilization and power lunches with the elite, to acknowledge someone even indirectly involved with the meat trade as his personal friend :jest:

As far as strippers./exotic dancers being highly educated, I don't think so. No one with advanced degrees chooses to take their clothes off for a living.

No she did not strip but she ran the places on certain nights. This was many years ago might I add.
