Well,

We cruised past the 5 month "normal processing time line...

I called the USCIS "customer service" line...they requested a "service request"

which can take an addditional 45 days just to see what is happening with our case...

we have not heard anything since June 6th when we got our NOA1s for our I 130 and I129f...

I get such conflicting information from even the USCIS...

One rep told me since I filed both the 130 and 129f now I am only waiting for a K 3 visa for my wife...

then I called again and they said no...which ever gets approved first...

so who is right?

Also

Anyone else have anything similar going on?

or not going on?

We are at the California service center and my wife is Filipina...stuck in PI

Anyone else having the same thing going on?

Hi there,

My husband and I are also still waiting. Our NOA1 was dated 1st June, and we have also filed a 'service request'. We've been told to expect to hear by December 17th.

We haven't had a request for info or anything, really not sure why there is such a big hold up.

So still we wait.....

Well,

Fortunately...I think...that we have not received an RFE or anything...However,

I am nervous because we have not heard anything...nothing...zip...since NOA 1

Have you?

And the information when you call these "customer service" people is soooo ridiculous...they read from a script

the same thing I can see online...which is Never updated...

Ridiculous

We've heard nothing at all either. The only touches that we've received were changing our address online and that's it.

According to the operator, they are working on cases from mid-June now, so I have no idea where that leaves us. Felt rather like I was speaking to a brick wall, and that was after about 20 minutes to even get through to a person!!

I have this horrible feeling that somebody's gone away on maternity or something and nobody has bothered to reassign the cases!

We haven't even received confirmation yet from USCIS that they are 'officially' looking into our case.....

my case was the same...NOA1 date was March 17 and only touches were address change. Got approved August 28.

take the time waiting for NOA2 to get all the I864 and D230 packages together, NVC will fly once you get your case number.

just a crappy answer from the customer service operator.. there were those who filed after us who were already approved.. how can they explain that?.. they don't really know anything.. i mean what are they there for?.. really frustrating..

anyway ya, 'have to prepare the I-864 and ds230 packages while waiting for NOA2.. 'coz NVC is faster than USCIS as i've observed..

God bless us all!

Seems that when people file K3 and CR/IR they hold up the I130 for the CR/IR until the K3 gets approved (which defeats the purpose of the K3 which is why it is pretty much obsolete) and you get an NOA2 for the I-130 and I-129 together at the same time.... And K-3 petitions have a higher percentage of going into some additional processing... This is just from what I have been reading... I only filed CR/IR

But I really hope that you get some resolution and a NOA2 soon!!!
