The only place I've seen bring you Canadian bacon when you order Canadian bacon is Buffalo. But they also know how to make Bloody Caesars too. I (L) Buffalo. :luv:

I love the interpreter thing.

I heart caesars too, but make mine a virgin plz... I don't like vodka.

All of the examples talked about have been subjects my then fiancé and I harass each other about. He still calls a toque a beanie though. The how many times I've tried to order a pizza with HAM & pineapple and the person corrects me and says Canadian bacon, I say NO it's HAM!!! The line usually goes silent......

My husband and I before our wedding last month were joking around saying that the bride & groom would be acting as translators for the entire wedding.. It was going to be clash of the cultures.... My side of the family who sound veeery canadian , my dad who puts eh at the end of everything! And his family who all are from the south!

I constantly harass my husband about the US coke and everything else having HFCS, and yearn for a coke with real sugar....

LOL one of his coworkers was bugging him about marrying a Canadian and says to him.... It's just Canada.... The Salvation Army can kick their ####!! I met this guy at the Halloween party, I'm still thinking of a good comeback!! lol

To be perfectly honest, I think I say "eh" more than my wife. I tend to pick up colloquialisms up fairly quickly.

My husband says it a lot too.

But he also constantly refers to himself as an honorary Canadian.

I tend to say it alot more after i've seen "Strange Brew" recently  My father in law says it like it's a punctuation mark. My mother in law though is very conscious about NOT saying it. It's funny though, Mel says "Dude" a lot now and I hardly say it.

I swear I hear lots of Americans saying "eh" when I'm down there. I don't think it's as uniquely Canadian as the cliche suggests...
