Which Rice should I buy for her in the US?

you can also try the long-grained ones, they are available in grocery stores, or you can get them in asian stores

I don't know what kind of rice I buy from Aldi since they sell only one variety...doesn't matter as long as it is rice, it all taste the same anyway lol. Take her to the store and let her choose

It is very considerate of you to buy some food to have for your filipina when she arrives. I would suggest buying a two pound bag of white rice or whatever her family always ate to have on hand after the long flight. Then let her pick out what rice she wants after she has settled in. Jasmine will be a different taste.

Rice here is just fine and same as in the Philippines. There's a lot of kind but you can just get regular one which is so much the same as in the Philippines. Japanese rice is a bit stickier.

After 4 years my wife finally changed to a more healthy brown rice. Just has to soak it longer.

all rices do not taste the same! Jasmine rice is what i normally eat, but there are many different brands. My suggestion is to buy some smaller quantities of different rices and have her try them. There isnt a big difference in taste, but there is a difference.
