how many biometrics appointments are there supposed to be?

how many appointment letters should I expect to receive?

is it one for the employment doc and one for the GC?

Is there a possibility to do both during walk-in?

The nearest local office is 2 hours away, and my father in law will have to drive me there so I want to have a fair understanding of it.

And if anyone has done biometrics in Philadelphia, Pa

please don't hesitate to share your experiences... or what to bring for that day

thanks!

No, only 1 appt.

Some have reported that walking-in after you receive the appt letter (before your schedule appt) works. I'm not sure that is necessarily true at every ASC though. You might want to do some research on yours first.

K1: 01/15/2009 (mailed I-129F) - 06/23/2009 (visa received)

AOS: 08/08/2009 (mailed I-485, I-765, & I-131) - 10/29/2009 (received GC)

ok great! thanks so much i really thought that i'd have to do 2 trips for 2 biometrics coz i read on some people's timelines they had 2, so that was confusing.. It would suck having to do 2 different ones.. waste of time and money lol

but yeah, i hope someone can give me any thoughts about Philly. I tried calling USCIS but they gave me the run around.. so no use calling them.

I 'd prefer real life experiences regarding this lol

what should I bring though during the biometrics? Do they need IDs or passport or anything else special for that matter?

I did a name change but since my social isn't here yet (after 4 weeks had past) I can't change that one yet, I do have my military dependent ID card and shows my new married name.

You MIGHT have 2 seperate ones..

If you do get 2 appt letters, you do not need to attend both.
